| #1SartredesApr 13, 2010 11:15:26 | As Gen Con preregistraton has started and I've been talking to my friends about playing in the MINI, I've been looking for some additional information about the new MINI appearing at Gen Con this year. I'm hoping a global admin will help me out with the info in question. I'm psyched that the complete 3-part MINI will be run at Gen Con. Much better than waiting months for the complete MINI to be released as with the last one. Also, having them be one rounders as opposed to 1.5-2 round adventures is nice. The last MINI recommended starting a new level 1 to play it to avoid leveling out of the MINI before the last adventure. I was wondering, is there was going to be a similar guideline for this MINI? (for example: Use at most a level 3 character to start the MINI to avoid being to high in level to complete it.) |

In fact you should be able to be a 2nd level PC or maybe even 3rd (I haven't done the math yet). It is just recommended that you play all three rounds in order for the full play experience, though it is not absolutely required that you do so if your schedule doesn't permit it. Of course if you are 4th-level and 300 xp away from 5th (as an example), you will level out after only one round. |

| #5Dragon9Apr 13, 2010 14:02:07 | I think it's cool to be able to play all of it at GenCon too... except for the fact that I can only be there Saturday and when I registered parts 1 and 2 had ~26 tickets left and part 3 in the evening was sold out! Guess I'll have to hope and pray that I can get in on generics. |

As we draw closer to the date, if fewer people sign up for the beginning rounds on Saturday (having played them earlier in the con), sometimes judges get shifted to the later rounds and we open up more tickets for those events based on the demand. |

Or show up and see if anyone has an extra ticket for sale. Last year, myself and three friends were all buying tickets for Mini 1-1, and we were buying them for each other (using the nice 'friend' feature in rubi). Well, two of our four orders processed near-simultaneously (since we were doing the refresh-dance) and we had four extra tickets. Rather than return them to GCI and only get store credit, we brought them to the con and sold them to other players for face value. I think this year something similar may have happened - I wasn't around on Sunday, but I think 1 extra ticket for part 3 was somehow mis-acquired. -VIC |

I will try to keep hoppe alive. Currently The 2-1 and 2-2 in the evening slot have a ton of tickets left (over 75 between the two of them). With luck some of those DMs will get shifted. |
