| #7KeithricMay 31, 2009 9:00:07 | Personally, I think people far-over spoiler tag this forum, to the point where it becomes annoying to read a lot of posts. It's a forum for discussing modules, how to run them, and your experiences when they were run for you... there's implicit knowledge there. There's a stickied post about how spoilers are found here. It should be especially obvious to someone who plans on playing the module that a thread about miniatures for the module will discuss the creatures therein. It's not spoiler-worthy for this particular creature to be in an akanul module (it might almost be spoiler-worthy if it _wasn't_) - now, posting the explicit type of that creature and what its stats are, that's different. Stonechild and goliaths can potentially be good for an earthen look. I'd actually say that you're probably actually going to get more bang for your buck by not going for purely humanoid-ish figures like elves, but instead going for more elemental-y figures. Mephits, archons, etc aren't right, but they're also more evocative and interesting and you can leave them out on the table to get people's gears going. At least, I know one table that had a blast when someone used this mini for their character for a couple adventures: |

I use the Stonechild for my character in LFR and the Swashbuckler for one of my campaign characters. Red Samurai is also a decent choice. I'm lucky enough to have built a collection but really, how close to the representations have to be? One of our local DMs uses ewoks & stormtroopers a lot and we laugh once in a while but they work fine. |
