A character is left behind 4. A monster that can "transform" a character (Like an Aboleth turning someone into an Aboleth Servitor MM1) So the party is defeated and due to the circumstances left a member behind to the mercy of the monsters. The monster in turn uses its "Enslaving" power to transform the character into a servitor. Is the character back to the full health and no detrimental affects when players start a new mod? Or is there any repercussions to encounter described above? |

In the case you describe, unless you're running LFR as a "home campaign" for the same group of characters / players (and, you and the players have agreed that such "ongoing effects" are fair game), there's really no way to enforce a character being placed "out of play" in the way you describe. In the end, that sort of event is something that can work fairly well in a home campaign; in something like LFR, where you don't necessarily have an ongoing "campaign" with the same players and characters sticking together, it simply doesn't work. |

(Once he becomes a servitor the character is dead) Story wise another group of adventurers turned up and did the job and had so much gold to spare they had the necessary rituals performed If your players would prefer to do the rescue themselves then a little creative accounting may be necessary. The player concerned may well have play an NPC as his 'servitor' character will still be a valid LFR character so even with the new rules you still can't officially have him roll up a new PC. (Unless we are talking a 1-4 band or he has another lfr character of the appropriate level). Or possibly the characters spirit Temporarily corporeates as a deva version of his character and has a limited time to recover his real body before the Aboleth process becomes permanent. That all assumes of course that what happened previosly was in a myre if it was in an official mod you may run into not reskinning official mods for myre rules and have to live with the death charity clause |

A majority of the party retreats off the battlefield Lucky them ;) 3. A character is left behind Depends on the monsters and the adventure. Sometimes they capture the PCs, selling them for example into slavery, sometimes they kill the character, and sometime they simply leave, allowing the PC to recover consciousness (with luck) and return home. Unless specified otherwise, either by the adventure or the DM, the character likely needs to pay for a raise dead as normal or need to call upon friends' charity clause. 4. A monster that can "transform" a character (Like an Aboleth turning someone into an Aboleth Servitor MM1) Clear example of a friend's charity clause, meaning the repercursionss are the loss of gold, xp and story awards for that character. Mind you, if all players agree, a DM could potentially run a MYRE which is about rescuing the lost friend. Also note that the player can always decide to retire his character. |

You are interpreting correctly. LFR doesn't do unrecoverable deaths. |
