I just finished playing though an LFR module called Heirloom; A Level 1-5 game.  There were four adventurers.
We won the day and got to choose from the parcel reward list as usual but there was some debate as to which rewards could and could not be chosen.  The oddity that stood out was a Cloak of Resistance +2, a seventh level item that had been made available to first level characters.  There was debate as to whether we could choose this reward; something to do with number of people in the party or something.
The only rule I am aware of is that you can only receive one magic item reward per level.  Am I correct in this assumption?  Was it legal for us to choose the seventh level cloak?

It was a Level 1-4 game ;) ... and yes, you can choose the Cloak of Resistance +2 as a Level 1 character. It takes up your magic item slot, but you can't use it until you're Level 3 because you're not allowed to use items more than 4 levels higher than your PC's level. That should be in the CCG, which you should read if you haven't already.

I think I just skimmed that.  I'll have to read it more carefully.
Thanks tiri.

Plus, the Cloak is only available when you play the adventure on "high", which is balanced for character levels 3 and 4. So the cloak is usable for the intended recipients.

Wait a second...You're telling me that these mods have low versions? That's crazy!!
