According to the RPGA Character Creation Guide v1.6, I cannot select a "found item" award whose item-level is more than four levels above my own. A friend in the RPGA, however, recently told me that I *can* but that I can't use the item until I'm within four levels of the item. Is my friend mistaken? Does this mean that I might occasionally be forced to pass up the perfect item for my character due to its requirements laying on the extreme end of the level range for the module? -Unmaker |

You can, indeed, take a bundle item that's more than 4 levels above your PC's current level, but you can't use it until you reach a level that's within 4 of the item. This is, indeed, a change; there were a few items in the first set of modules that 1st level PCs were ineligible to take as treasure under the original rules. This is no longer the case, however. |
