The following survey has spoilers. Ye be warned.

DALE1-6 The Vesperin Initiative puts the PCs in a position where they can make a decisive impact on the couse set by the Velarian Trade Alliance. Do tehy support the incusion of the Chiang Emporium in the alliance, or do they oppose it? With the political figure heads drawn in a tie, their advice may determine the final outcome.

This being LFR, the 'canon' outcome is ultimatelyt determined through adventure feedback, though PCs'  inidvidual decisions likely will affect future adventures.

I am interested to hear what choice parties made, and why.

Let me know why the Chiangs belong in the VTA, or why they should be kept out. Be sure to include spoiler warnings if you wish to quote other experience with the Chiangs (good or bad) in adventures other than DALE1-6.

Of the 5 players at my table, the final vote was 2-in / 2-out / 1 abstain. Guess I did a good job offering both sides of the argument!

A player who had a number of the Eladrin-story-awards (especially from SPEC1-3) and one who had strong ties to Cormyr (working on an alliance with Myth Drannor) were "convinced" by the eladrin to vote against the Chiang inclusion.

The alignment-questionable rogue and character with a high insight check believed that the Chiangs should not be judged on rumors and reputation alone. Since there was no concrete evidence of wrong-doing, they should be included in the VTA.

The "under-the-radar" PC didn't want to be associated with either side.

Both sides succeeded in the skill challenge, so one final diplomacy-closing-argument-rolloff was made. The Chiangs were narrowly exclueded from the VTA.

More importantly, the players all "learned something about their characters," which was a highlight of this adventure!

We playtested the module and the Chiang was voted in.
