This might provide a means of helping people to decide what to play. Perhaps a poll to allow people to rate each adventure from 1-5 or similar? |
| #2pedrMar 05, 2009 10:16:28 | Is anyone running a Turbine site for LFR, as existed on www.nyrond.org / www.onyxgate.com for LG? Details here: http://www.onyxgate.com/turbine/page/turbine-src/ though that's significantly above my tech-level. |
| #3BigfluffylemonMar 10, 2009 5:09:25 | I'll take that as a 'no, nobody else likes that idea.' |
| #4pedrMar 10, 2009 6:17:18 | Ha! Or, "no -- nobody has time or inclination to do anything about it!" I'm not surprised, really - I'd only have expected it if the people who set up those sites (I'd imagine early Pale and/or Nyrond triad members) had transferred over to LFR. Still, if anyone has the tech know-how, I'd be interested in helping out getting such a thing set up. I just wouldn't know where to start though! |
| #5BigfluffylemonMar 10, 2009 6:28:57 | Likewise. I wondered if it would be possible to make a poll on this site, but it seems that one has to be an admin to do that? |
| #6pedrMar 10, 2009 10:35:39 | Polls are, apparently, against the CoC. I think the official line is that the boards are for 'discussion' not 'me too' type posts. There's a reviews thread somewhere here, isn't there? Possibly started by Puggle? Perhaps someone could compile data from that? |
| #7WolfStar76Mar 10, 2009 13:08:51 | Polls are, apparently, against the CoC. I think the official line is that the boards are for 'discussion' not 'me too' type posts. That, and concern that polls can become spammy quickly. It's one thing to have a poll here and there - but when anyone can make a poll. . . well. . . "everyone" does make polls. Soon forums get lost under the weight of multiple "poll of the day/week" threads and conversation gets lost in the mix. |
| #8dedekind_againJan 05, 2010 17:22:24 | Not to do thread necromancy, but I started a poll several months ago at EnWorld to recommend adventures. The first one is here: www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discus... And the second one that contains more adventures is here: www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discus... I can't combine them, or else I would. The general format has been to vote for your favorite three. |
| #9SquareKnotJan 13, 2010 15:10:42 | I've been using www.gamerclubhouse.com to find (and write) reviews of LFR mods. If you haven't checked it out yet, you should. I picked the next two LFR mods I'm going to run based on the info I found there. |
| #10elder_basiliskJan 13, 2010 15:49:09 | I've been using www.gamerclubhouse.com to find (and write) reviews of LFR mods. If you haven't checked it out yet, you should. I picked the next two LFR mods I'm going to run based on the info I found there. I'll second this recommendation. I've reviewed a few mods there, but don't let that keep you away. It's probably the best place on the web to go and see a list of all of the available LFR mods and find reviews of them. (It's still a young site so they aren't all reviewed yet, and most don't have a lot of reviews, but pretty soon I expect you'll be able to see a variety of reviews for every module and either take the average (if you are trying to avoid spoilers) or read the comments to decide which reviews to pay attention to). |
