| #1macr05sJan 09, 2009 5:51:49 | say for instance I noticed the new Q1-09 schedule shows Jan 7th that the adventure EAST 1-3 should be up but it was not available to pick for a home or game day. Is there a reason for this? |
| #2soccerref73Jan 09, 2009 8:58:00 | Greetings... EAST1-3 is at HQ, so it should be up "any time now." Sometimes there is a day or two of variance between the published release schedule and when adventures actually go live. The actual date when things get posted is largely a function of the availability of the web/database administrators at WotC, who have a number of responsibilities above and beyond what they do for the RPGA. (No one will believe me when I say this, but it is actually true that occasionally adventures even go up a day or two early.) ;) By and large, LFR has done pretty well in terms of having adventures hit in the same week, although not necessarily the exact day, listed on the schedule. There were a couple of adventures in Q4 2008 that were off by larger amounts, and that's something that we all hate and try as hard as possible to avoid. Frankly, it would probably make more sense if the release schedule just said "week of X" instead of "specific date X" because there is a pretty high chance of being off by a day or two, but I know Chris Tulach has been trying hard for Wednesday to become the unofficial "RPGA upload day" at WotC, so that's why the listed release dates are usually Wednesdays. |
