I actually really like how the new format looks and think it will help with some of the problems people have with skill challenges in LFR currently. Secondly is there a chance that these will be retrofitted into the older LFR modules as well? Since new people coming into the campaigns will be playing those modules as well. It would be nice for them to get the benefit of the new and easier to use format. |

You will see the new format in usage for the 1-5 adventures. The previously released LFR adventures will not be updated for the new format. Once published, adventures are only corrected if a major error is found. Keith |

Some of the mods use unusual approaches to skill challenges (which I love) and that would make it hard to fit them into the Dungeon format. It is really pretty/clean cosmetically, but I like what authors are doing with the skill challenges to keep them interesting/creative. |

The Dungeon format straightjackets the author into one linear path for the challenge, and almost never works. We've definitely seen some nonstandard formats in the RPGA adventures and I find them much more interesting. Of course, it helps that RPGA adventures are not as tightly page limited as the online magazines are. If it takes an extra page to make an RPGA/LFR adventure really work it's no big deal, since there's no printing involved. That being said there are some mechanical/descriptive advances that I've seen in dungeon that I like. Describing the # of successes/failures the use of a skill generates is one. Also capping the # of times a skill can be used is another. |

These are in the most recent adventure template format, so expect these changes to appear with the Gen Con mods, if not sooner. |
