Greetings,

1st ~ I could not find an option to search these forums to see if this had been adressed so I apologize if it has. If someone can direct me to how to do a search that would be helpful.

2nd ~ I have a fried who crafted out a 'Minotaur Ranger' using the Charecter Builder program (Beta of course) and with it he was able to weild two LARGE weapons.

Now I know I have seen postings and from reading the article it does not say anything about this but he was wondering (as am I) if this has been adressed in some sort of official manner and if perhaps I should report this as yet another tiny bug in there program for creating leagal charecters to use in the game?

Thanks in Advance

Probably the best place for feedback would be in one of the DDI forums on the Character Builder located here.

Actually for the Charecter Builder I am going to use the 'Bug Option' they have built in.. I was wondering if anyone could help enlighten me to perhaps a correction from the article or some comment about this issue.

Perhaps someone is 'Playing' a Minotaur and can speak up and tell me what they have been able to find (if anything) on this issue

Thanks

That's a known issue for the DDI:Character Builder.

It's the result of a previous decision to always list races by their originating source (In this case, the Monster Manual).

That decision has since been overturned, and in the full release (we're told) races will be listed by their latest release. For minotaurs, this means Oversized will be dropped in favor of Heedless Charge (or whatever it's called).

Also, you may want to point out to said player that the MM is not a valid rules source for players and neither is the character builder. So it doesn't matter what is in the program. If he can show you in the Dragon article that he wield oversize weapons, then more power too him.

Thanks Wofstar66 & the others..

Just a FYI ~ I was not trying to argue for or against this issue. At this time no one I know is playing said race but we did subscribe as a group to DDI and share use of the 'Charecter Builder'.

For the most part we are happy with it and just needed 'verification' on this issue as the Article says NOTHING about oversized yes or no so I would have said no to it.... however the Charecter Builder did list it as an option and will need to be 'tweaked'

Thanks for the information and...

WolfStar76 you appear to be 'in the know' do you have any idea when they plan on realeasing the DDI:Charecter Builder? Bugged or not I would really like to be able to take advantage of it ... I keep hearing 'some time this month' but was wondering if anyone had better info on that.

The latest I've seen posted on it was the following:
Just an update:

We are looking good to release the full level 1-30 version of the program to subscribers before the end of [January].

[...]

Each month we will fix bugs and make improvements as well as adding all the new content from that month.

Some of the changes we designed didn't make it in (like our new shopping UI which makes it much clearer) but we figured our fans wanted the full program sooner rather than later and that part of the UI can be tweaked a month after release.

Also, from a much more straightforward point of view...

Minotaur is part of Dragon 369 - the current update of the Character Builder Program only goes up to Dragon 368...

That's a very good point. As such it also doesn't include the racial feats from Dragon.
