Another deity worship question

Jun 28, 2009 21:51:21 The Campaign Guide says that Primordials and Exarchs are worshipped as gods in the Realms. Does that make them legal choices for PCs to worship as their deity?

I read from that that as long as it's listed in one of those chapters, you can worship that deity, or its realms equivalent.

If you're not a divine class, you can worship whatever the heck you like.

I know you probably didn't mention it because most of us take it as a given, but I didn't want any new people to get confused.

Jun 29, 2009 16:44:47 besides, the Gods beat the snot out fo the primordials back in the day. Do you really want to contend with people sayign "My god can beat up your primordial?"

Jul 08, 2009 21:21:42 So because they detailed the Primordial Mual-Tar in a Dragon magazine and didn't explicitly list his name beyond saying "Primordials", he can't be worshipped by a divine character? What about Telos?

Now, because they did explicitly mention Borem of the Boiling Mud you can worship him? Wow, I can worship the mud monster, but not the Thunder Serpent. Boo.

Jul 08, 2009 21:44:44 Did you mean Talos? if you did he no longer exists. I think he ended up being an aspect of Grummsh. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Jul 21, 2009 3:28:04 Actually one slight thing. "Pantheons of the World" is not a chapter. The chapter in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide is simply titled Pantheons. The item which is titled "Pantheons of the World" is a table on pages 80-81.

Also as far as worshipping a primordial it is fun to tell people that you are playing a "godless" cleric. I have an Eladrin Cleric of Akadi. Though he is old enough to remember thinking he was a cleric of Aerdrie Faenya at one time.
