Help.

I have a half-elf valor bard & bought a Ioun's revelation (she worships Oghma & Ioun's Chanel Divinity can be used by divine worshipers of Oghma). The +2 to all stats is just amazing (trains all my untrained skills when combined with jack of all trades & skill versatility....). however char builder has its source listed as Dungeon Masters Guide 2 - witch is not listed as a legal resource.

can i use it or not?

No.  DMG2 is not a legal player resource.  You may be able to gain a boon as a reward from certain adventures, but you cannot buy one.

Just in case you need confirmation from official campaign management: Bgibbons is correct.

I think I've found my new tagline. ;)

Note that some adventures award boons. Should you gain a boon via official campaign documentation, such as a story object, it is of course legal to possess.

darn... i was hoping they were legal (it is so sad what they do to bards). I was hopping to find them Ioun"s revelation in a dragon or dungun artical witch would make that one legal, but no luck so far. i did find it in a dmg2 preview, but i don;t think that counts.

Interesting situation, because while I don't think it was intended that way, but I think that something from a non-playersource-preview from Dragon Magazine should count by RAW

It was only in an excerpt, which doesn't go into Dragon.

There is a boon in a mod and it's a good one. I would have took it for the character I played, but it wasn't part of the character's flavor.

Yeah I was upset my rogue didn't qualify for that boon since I had only played 1 of the 2 prior parts of the major quest, and given that I was 11 before the 2nd part even came out in a 7-10 I was just Sol =(

Oh well, can't win em all =)

Unless I am mistaking, you are talking about the series CORE1-10, CORE1-12 and CORE1-15. I just double checked the adventures, but all it says is that you need to be on the quest. Both CORE1-10 and CORE1-12 give you a story award stating you are on said quest. It does not say in CORE1-15 you need both story awards (in the intro it states "and/or" and the Conclusion does not mention a number at all), and in fact, that is on purpose. It follows the same pattern as in earlier series were PCs get the major quest rewards for playing only one part and the final of the series and not necessarily all three.

I just redownloaded and checked and it does say either or, hmmm I could have sworn it was you had to have both, I'm going to check the old copy of the mod I have at home, maybe it was a quick switcheroo of the files =)  Either way that's good news I guess
