As my main character is a Warlord and my daily power is a trigger (Fearless Rescue) Veteran's Armour was never really a good pick for me at early level anyway... on the other hand... Armour of Exploits allows me to copy/store an At-Will or Encounter power from either myself or an ally for use later on. Of course triggering an Encounter Power from the armour costs me an Action Point, but that is still worth it on a module where we pass a milestone. The groups I play in are normally quite diverse and you never really know what you are going to get. However my brother plays a Barbarian and I do fancy a bash at Avalanche Strike with my STR/CON:18 Warlord. He also usually play in the group I'm in. The most advantagious abilites I can store would be the STR/CON abilites... but that means the following classes are the best to copy...
I suppose I could also copy another version of Inspirational Word or Healing Word, to get another heal. However, to use it I would need to spend an Action Point, which I suppose is acceptable in dire circumstances. What do other people think? |

That said, as long as a fighter (non-tempest) is around, you should always have a useful toy to put into the armor. A warlord in my game is using the armor and has borrowed Cleave from a fighter. And, even if no fighter is around, you can double up on your encounter power. -SYB |
