I was reading the FRCG and I came upon an interesting tidbit of information...

Did you guys know that there's an Avenger assembly line in Impiltur? No joke!

It's a big assembly line that spits out Elves, Razorclaw Shifters, and the occasional Bladeling with a priest of Tempus standing at the end of it beside a huge pile of Fullblades. As the Elves, Bladelings, and Razorclaw Shifters walk off of the assembly line, the priest of Tempus hands each one a fullblade and says "Here you go, you worship Tempus, you can get a better one of these in Cormyr or the Dalelands, go kill stuff once per encounter. Next!"

True story.

And where is the assembly line for the deva avengers?

Same place, obviously... probably in New Sarshel somewhere. It's smaller though.

I thought everyone had been to the Avenger Assmbly Plant. They do great tours. It's just down the road from the Staff of Storms Mill.

Sounds like the destruction of the assembly line could be a quest...

This is so true. Now, back in my days, we had to crawl uphill both ways through the snow, and be Strength clerics of Tempus in order to properly use Tempus' preferred weapon.

The Thayans also have two lines for Wizards and Swordmages.

I remember when clerics of Tempus would cast healing spells by vigorously applying their holy symbol to the recipient's forehead.

Their holy symbol being a spiked gauntlet, of course.

"BE HEALED."

Roll for healing, and for damage. Sometimes the damage exceeded the healing. Oh well. Such is the will of Tempus.

I also heard that Impiltur was the headquarters of the Elven Greatbow Rangers Consortium...

Although they also have a substantial and perceptive sub-office in Durpar...

You are hereby cordially invited to the unveiling of our new dual line plant on the outskirts of Thay. The primary production model is tactical warlords, but we are able to customize resourceful warlords as well and can spit out the odd deva retribution avenger upon request.

We expect to have tiefling, eladrin, and genasi models on display but would be willing to develop a human model for a serious inquirer who is willing to front the 10 unit minimum order.

I've hear reports that it is simply a franchise of the Impiltur assemply line.

Quite possibly.

Lucretia Silverburg, Eladrin Pursuant of Tempus, based in Akanul, is actually investigating that as we speak.

She's also investigating Brother Zod the Pious for fraud.

Well, when you have everyoen kneeling before you... it can start to go to your head. So it's not surprising... ;)

Just don't ask too many questions about their quality control operations. Just be assured that those who don't pass your rigorous standards can be returned within 1 adventure and replaced for a nominal fee. And don't worry about it being wasteful. They got a very, very effecient recycling program.
