Barbarian Primal Vitality - Encounter or Daily?

Feb 02, 2009 0:16:07 Is this an Encounter Utility or a Daily Utility? In the Barbarian article and the compilation pdf of that issue, it's listed as a Daily. However, both the Compendium and the Character Builder list it as an Encounter Utility. Which is correct? And as a more general question, if a Dragon article requires corrections, how are those corrections presented?

Feb 02, 2009 16:28:25 The compendium is a rules source as of CCG 1.8.

As such you use the newest version of the power and that would be the version from the compendium.

Feb 02, 2009 17:15:16 The new Character Builder (you will have to download and reinstall it to get it) now does Utility Powers as "Blue" and then has a check box inside to specify the occurrence of the power.

So perhaps the Compendium is trying to catch up and they haven't properly implemented the "Blue Utilities?"

But Text beats Color scheme. So if the text says Daily and the color is Red. It is still a Daily.

Dragon articles don't require corrections. They are perfect as-written.

Officially? WotC will not be releasing errata for Dragon articles. Unofficially, they *are* releasing errata, you just have to pay for it. Later this year they are publishing a Best of Dragon book. Any changes in there will supersede Dragon material as the most recent rules source. And since it will be a print product, it MAY get errata.

Really unofficially some changes are showing up in the rules compendium. However, the compendium has enough known issues and no change log, so there is no way to tell if a change is an update or a typo.
