#1 chanter_hound Aug 16, 2009 13:41:24	Our group tends to never have a leader on hand. We need someone who is also fairly decent at a wide range of skill challenges. I've decided to drop my warlock and pick up bard, but i want to continue to be a Gnoll. This is mostly for the "super sense" the gnoll can get, allowing them to sniff out enemies as well as other things. So if one was to make a Gnoll bard, how should I go about doing it from level 1-11? I want to be a sort of master of out of combat feats, like diplomacy and skill challenges, but of course I need to be effective (Not forcibly optimized) in combat as well. I plan on taking combat medic, Jack of All Trades, and Gnoll Tracking some time during my course of leveling. And of course i want them to be at levels where they can be effective. In other words, i don't want to wait till level 30 to be able to pick them up. (to me, Forcibly optimized is spending the 7 points needed to go from 16 to 18. I hate doing that. I'd gladly take a 1 penalty to attack rolls if it means i can get +1 or 2 points in several other areas.)
