Not just because she has a fantastic DPR, but also because she's absolutely hilarious to role play. She's from Thay, so she has a dark, mysterious background, but generally she's feisty and sarcastic, moving from calmly diplomatic to angry to dangerously intimidating all in the span of a few moments, depending on the situation. (Yes, she's a redhead!) Oh, and if you're wondering why I didn't choose a drow sorcerer instead for the slightly better ability bumps, it's because EVERYONE was choosing drow sorcerers when I went to make mine and I wanted something a little different. Beginning stats: STR 10 CON 8 DEX 17 (currently 18) INT 11+2 (gnome) = 13 (currently 14) WIS 10 CHA 16+2 (gnome) = 18
Feats: 1) Armor proficiency (leather) 2) Implement expertise (dagger) 4) Dual Implement spellcaster My current attack bonus at level 5 is +9, and my current damage bonus is +12 (+4 cha, +4 dex, +2 vicious dagger, +2 staff of fiery might). Current powers: At Wills: Burning Spray Chaos Bolt Encounter powers: Explosive Pyre Ice Dragon's Teeth Daily powers: Dazzling Ray Sun's Illumination Utility powers: Dark shroud Equipment: Serpentskin Leather Armor +1 Vicious Dagger +2 Staff of Fiery Might +2 Amulet of Protection +2
Basically, I enjoy this character for the RP potential as well as the DPR potential. I definitely want to keep her social skills high (I have 11's in diplo, bluff and intimidate currently) but I'm also looking for ways to up the DPR ante even higher than it is right now. One of the things I'm considering is taking the Daggermaster paragon path, once I get to 11th. Since I'm an implement-based wild sorcerer, not really a melee type (my AC is only 19 at 5th!), Daggermaster's mainly melee-based powers and abilities don't help me at all. However...critting on an 18-20 with attacks made with a dagger is huge. To complement that, I'm thinking of MCing into Rogue to get sneak attack, then getting a Wraithblade +2. Any time I crit, I can do sneak damage! I'm also thinking of getting Arcane Reach at 11th so I can use my Burning Spray at range, then picking up devastating critical at 12th. My gnome's schtick would be to do burning sprays as much as possible, attacking as many targets at a time as possible to maximize her chances of getting crits. (Attacking just two targets, I already have a greater than 25% chance of scoring a crit on at least one of them if I can crit on an 18-20!) I'm still a loooong way away from this, though, so I'm curious what other people are doing with their wild sorcerers. Damon
