Hey all -

As I am still fairly new to the Realms (compared to many of you, of course!) and far more experienced with the Dragonlance and Ravenloft settings... in your best opinions, where would the minotaur-centric lands be? I have not seem much clear indication of this in either the FRPG or the FRCS.

Thanks!

You are right... there's nothign in the campaign guide point that out. i made mine from Durpar. Lots of monsters running around there.

The only reference I can find in either the FRCG or the FRPG is on page 85 of the FRCG: "The Great Gray Land of Thar remains a desolate breeding ground for orcs, ogres, and minotaurs." [Thar is north of the Moonsea].

The Beastlands is also a possibility, though there's no background specific to that area (I agree with Dragon9 that Durpar would work)...

The Vilhon Wilds is also an area that is wild, untamed and thoroughly spellplagued... there are doubtless Minotaurs there too... my Orc comes from there! :D

However... you'll probably find that the biggest Minotaur settlements will be in some area that doesn't have a player background available... it'll probably turn up in a CORE module sometime.

Yeah, so Vilhon Wilds, or Durpar. The Great Dale and Luskan could work also.

Or, as was pointed out above, Moonsea (implying you came from Thar).

I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't have my Orc come from the kingdom of Many-Arrows.

Nor actually worship an Orc god.

Ah well.

Luruar is close but not exactly the same.

Luruar is close but not exactly the same.

"Me from Luruar. Northern Luruar. Really, really northern Luruar. Borders not so clear up there." ;)

I have two players who play minotaurs from a former tribe living in Elfharrow.

Also, wit a slave background it opens up more regions also since there are several where slavery isn't frowned upon.
