| #1damoncasaleJun 02, 2009 16:29:03 | I just saw the new MM2 races which were included in the latest version of DDI character builder (Bullywug, Duergar, and Kenku). I'm curious if there are any plans to include these in either a future character creation guide as legal for all LFR players, as a character creation rewards card, or in a future publication (like the PHB3). Come to think of it, I'm curious if other races in the DDI char builder (Bugbear, Doppelganger, Githyanki, Githzerai, etc.) will ever be LFR legal in any way, shape or form. Damon |

I'm curious if there are any plans to include these in either a future character creation guide as legal for all LFR players, as a character creation rewards card, or in a future publication (like the PHB3). Well apparently the Gith will be in PHB3, making them legal at that point. |
| #3Dragon9Jun 03, 2009 8:30:22 | Those decisions are out of the hands of anyone who posts on these boards. So you'll just have to wait and see. I wouldn't be surprised if something shows up as a rewards card in the future (probably not the Bullywug... but I could be wrong). Also, Dopplegangers will likely be with the Eberron setting since they have been "toned down" to be the Changelings from that setting. I also expect the PHB3 to have both Gith races. |
| #4mwao_dupJun 03, 2009 12:19:54 | If Warforged are in the Player's Guide to Eberron, will that make them legal for LFR? (ducks) |
| #5IstaranJun 03, 2009 13:53:10 | If Warforged are in the Player's Guide to Eberron, will that make them legal for LFR? I think it toggles and they all become illegal. :P |
| #6WotC_TulachJun 03, 2009 19:58:41 | Show up at the summer cons, and you might see one of them on a Rewards card. ![]() |
| #7Dragon9Jun 03, 2009 20:36:48 | Okay, so I have to retract my statement about "Those decisions are out of the hands of anyone who posts on these boards." Because now Chris posted. He usually doesn't. Must have been a light day for him at teh office. ![]() wait, aren't you supposed to be workign on the My Realms info and the next CCG! *whipcrack!* Get back to work! |
| #8SamrinJun 03, 2009 20:42:14 | If Warforged are in the Player's Guide to Eberron, will that make them legal for LFR? Warforged are already LFR legal. So that's a non issue. |
| #9KarmaInfernoJun 03, 2009 21:37:55 | Clearly, you haven't hung around these guys long enough to get the joke. :D -karma |
| #10Dragon9Jun 03, 2009 23:16:35 | We are all part of a tribe. Tribe Runningjoke. Think they have a traibal feat for us in MP2? |
| #11Madfox11Jun 04, 2009 2:54:57 | wait, aren't you supposed to be workign on the My Realms info and the next CCG! *whipcrack!* Get back to work! He has the My Realms covered as well... watch out on the website in that regards... ;) |
| #12kinevonJun 04, 2009 3:25:50 | We are all part of a tribe. Tribe Runningjoke. Think they have a traibal feat for us in MP2? Not a tribe, an Adventuring Company. ;) Adventuring Company: Running Joke Membership requirements: 1) Player must have posted a question as to whether Warforged, Minotaurs, Dhampyrs or other races/feats published in a compiled issue of Dragon are LFR legal. 2) PC must be a member of the race or have taken the feat. 3) If'n you can get enough PCs together for a table, you get a group action point... |
| #13Dragon9Jun 04, 2009 8:18:55 | See, I would make requirement 1 be: Player must have posted a question on whether Warforged are legal in LFR in response to a question over the legality of an item from Dragon magazine. Usually in the form of "This is great and all but what we really need to know is... are Warforged legal in LFR?" |

I demand to be a member of that adventuring company anyway. (hmm...a reason for a hat of disguise...) |
| #16anubis_reynardJun 04, 2009 23:08:38 | Slightly off topic, but last LFR event I went to, I was at a table where the party was a Drow Warlock, Minotaur Warden, Dragonborn cleric, Warforged Avenger, and my own Gnoll Wizard. Not one single "normal" race in the party. |
| #17ibixatJun 05, 2009 0:11:11 | Slightly off topic, but last LFR event I went to, I was at a table where the party was a Drow Warlock, Minotaur Warden, Dragonborn cleric, Warforged Avenger, and my own Gnoll Wizard. Well Normal? Drow are LFR player's handbook, if you want to call them non-normal so are humans then, and dragonborn are PHB and their presence in FR is explained to satisfaction. I'm not sure how we can define "normal" in these situations. |
| #18Dragon9Jun 05, 2009 8:59:06 | By normal i think he meant human, elf, dwarf, halfling. Perhaps "classic races" would have been better. ![]() |
| #19matblack76Jun 05, 2009 17:19:30 | for weekend in the realms, the table i played at had warforged (me), gnoll, gnome, orc, shadar-kai... and one very frightened human. |
| #20AuricRAvenhelmJun 07, 2009 23:50:19 | I ran a mod in which the party was composed of a tiefling, a deva, a warforged and 2 half-orcs. I told them they were a motley crew of adventurers. |
| #21kinevonJun 07, 2009 23:55:50 | The party I ran for yesterday consisted of a tiefling wizard, goliath paladin, dragonborn warlock and longtooth shifter cleric. Talk about motley... |
| #22ibixatJun 08, 2009 0:12:36 | Saturday I played and I forget the makeup of our first table, the second table was a Halfling, a Mintaur, Gnoll and Orc, I was only watching or I'd have probably had either my half elf or warforged added in... And yes, they were doing Dale 1-2 =P |
| #23Madfox11Jun 08, 2009 4:12:54 | So exactly how many humans were there at Living Greyhawk and Living City tables? Humans always have been relatively rare at the gaming table. |
| #24ibixatJun 08, 2009 4:37:59 | So exactly how many humans were there at Living Greyhawk and Living City tables? Humans always have been relatively rare at the gaming table. I never played LG but in my history of gaming, which isn't as long as some out there, but does span 26 years Humans have always been rare when other choices were available. |
| #25HerrbardJun 08, 2009 6:58:05 | I played LG, and all my characters were human. Every one of them. I did have some strange friends, though. ;) |
| #26ibixatJun 08, 2009 7:20:57 | I played LG, and all my characters were human. Every one of them. I did have some strange friends, though. ;) Do you mean In game or Out? (or just both) |
| #27bhale187Jun 08, 2009 9:56:18 | So exactly how many humans were there at Living Greyhawk and Living City tables? Humans always have been relatively rare at the gaming table. I never played a human in LG under 3.5, but I play mostly humans in LFR with 4E. Usually being a cleric, and wanting the heaviest armor and shield I can get; the added human feat is a necessity for me. But, you are right humans were a rarity in LG around my area. |
| #28kenobi65Jun 08, 2009 10:22:35 | So exactly how many humans were there at Living Greyhawk and Living City tables? Humans always have been relatively rare at the gaming table. I only played LC for about the last year or so of that campaign, and played with a fairly small group, but I'd say that humans were the majority of PCs I saw there. I played quite a bit of LG,though largely in my own region (Verbobonc). Humans may not have been a majority, but I think they were the single most-frequently-seen race. In my LFR experience (again, still fairly limited), human PCs have been in a very noticeable minority. I haven't seen too many "monster" races, but an awful lot of elves, eladrin, and dragonborn. |

| #30Darkwolf_BloodsbaneJun 08, 2009 10:47:52 | I've got: 1.) Lazam Stringer, Halfling Bravura Warlord (of Awesome) 2.) Lucretia Silverburg, Ealadrin Pursuant Avenger (of Chesus) 3.) Ashleigh "Ash" Blackfang, LT Shifter Warden (Yes, THAT Ash.) 4.) Donnar, Deva Druid. I don't often play to type. |
| #31kenobi65Jun 08, 2009 11:03:56 | No dwarves? I think that dwarves and genasi are actually the most common races in my local area. Very few. I'd guess that, between playing and DMing, I've seen over 100 PCs, and I don't think there's been more than 6 to 8 dwarves in that. |
| #32PauperJun 08, 2009 15:36:03 | My 'toons': 1) Melchior, Human Wizard 2) Starkanien, Dwarf Battlerager 3) Gorvoc, Half-Orc Druid Melchior is the only one above level 1. Starkanien tends to die a lot, based solely on playing in mods with enemy ranged strikers. Gorvoc...is fun. He tends toward the comic relief, though. In one adventure, one NPC remarked how Gorvoc and his minotaur friend seemed frightening. He replied, "Gorvoc know what you mean. Gorvoc scared of Russian women selling sea salt. Very hard to escape with gold intact." Anachronism has always been part of the Realms, right? -- Pauper |
