| #1anubis_reynardDec 24, 2008 0:46:05 | Something I've been working on: building a rules-as-written martial controller. From what we've seen in the Druid and Invoker previews, a Controller is all about status effects, even in their at-wills. Damage is a secondary concern, though AoE effects are a common bonus. Push, slow, Prone, penalties and other pain are a controller's bread and butter. Even at level 1, This character either inflicts -2 to hit to a target, and one target adjacent to it, or he attacks reflex at +9. For this reason, I am using an Ruthless Ruffian Rogue with Rattling powers and Arena feats. Paragon path is Arena Champion, because it's one of the only martial paragon paths that grants status effects on the path powers. Level 1 Halfling Rouge Attributes Str: 8 Con: 10 Dex: 20 Int: 13 Wis: 10 Cha: 14 |

(property granting quickdraw, and a power bonus to Init) I'd also like to move Arkhosian high style to a lower level- I may not be using that move too often, far less critting- but if I do, -2 AC is a cool debuff. EDIT: new paragon build posted- Equipment is Thundering Shuiken, Mindiron Handbow, Duelist's Dagger, and a Battle Harness leather armor. Also, Gauntlets of the Ram. |
