| #1ibixatAug 01, 2009 16:47:20 | How would Healer's Lore interact with a power like Stream of Life? It has an effect that damages you every turn to heal an ally within 5. Would it work on each tick or on only the first. What about beacon of hope? Also first only or each one. Thanks for any input and if there are lots of typos in my post I blame my phone since I'm posting this at work from it |
| #2starbogAug 01, 2009 19:27:13 | It has the healing keyword. It is a cleric power. Hence it is affected both by healers lore AND bacon of hope, and any other items that boost healing. So say a +wis bonus of 5, a healer's brooch +1 and bacon of hope up..you're looking at 26 hp per round. It is a daily though, and I'm not sure that its worth more than say Bastion of Health. |
| #3Dragon9Aug 01, 2009 23:40:46 | Yup, it's a cleric power, has the healing keyword and grants actual hit points, so yes, HL would work with it.Hence it is affected both by healers lore AND bacon of hope, and any other items that boost healing. ZOMG, I HAVE to take that power! It's only appropriate that bacon heals. Bacon FTW! |
| #4ibixatAug 02, 2009 0:36:21 | Yup, it's a cleric power, has the healing keyword and grants actual hit points, so yes, HL would work with it. Ok yeah, so we all call it bacon locally, and I really really really tried to remember to type beacon... so "Fail!" ![]() But does it mean that instead of healing 15 per turn with it it would heal 15 + healers Lore + Bacon bonus etc.. Or would it only do that on the first round. |
| #5ibixatAug 02, 2009 4:24:26 | oooh Oooh, so what happens when I multiclass artificer and take Potent Restorables and get +2 to healing, do I add that to each heal. What happens when my bard takes it and uses Stirring Shout, does it now do charisma + 2 healing each time an ally hits... argh |
| #6starbogAug 02, 2009 4:52:09 | Actually, when you start to add in bonuses from Healer's Implement and Maces of Healing and such like, I'm starting to like this feat even more. Even without the bacon, at 10th level, you could be reasonably looking at 15 + 6 (wis) + 2 (mace of healing) + 3 (healer's implement) + 2 (healer's brooch) = 26 hp per round, every round. At same level, 5hp is about 1/4 of a surge (with toughness) so yeah, its looking *very* attractive. And the bonuses add to all occurrences of it, so they add in every round ![]() |
| #7ibixatAug 02, 2009 5:27:02 | Actually, when you start to add in bonuses from Healer's Implement and Maces of Healing and such like, I'm starting to like this feat even more. The ongoing 5 hp is almost moot. When combined with the level 9 Daily Divine power =P "Effect: Until the end of the encounter, you gain regeneration 5....." |
| #8Dragon9Aug 02, 2009 10:16:22 | oooh Oooh, so what happens when I multiclass artificer and take Potent Restorables and get +2 to healing, do I add that to each heal. It says healing powers get +2 so yes. What happens when my bard takes it and uses Stirring Shout, does it now do charisma + 2 healing each time an ally hits... No. HL only works on cleric powers. |
| #9sithobi1Aug 02, 2009 16:37:29 | But Potent Restorables applies to all healing powers. |
| #10Dragon9Aug 02, 2009 21:23:27 | But Potent Restorables applies to all healing powers. Yes, but HL doesn't. So it wouldn't be charisma + 2. Only +2. |
| #11sithobi1Aug 02, 2009 22:57:13 | Stirring Shout starts off with Cha mod healing... HL would be Wis mod if it applied at all. |
| #12klobbermeisterJan 22, 2010 11:33:50 | In case this still needs to be answered: #22 in the PHB FAQ wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wizards.cfg... Doesn't work with Regen. |
| #13obsidFeb 14, 2010 20:13:12 | That FAQ only applies to regeneration, as regeneration is the effect of the power (not healing). But stream of life isnt regeneration. "You take ongoing 5 damage (save ends). This damage can’t be reduced in any way. At the end of your turn, you can choose not to make a saving throw against this ongoing damage. Whenever you take the ongoing damage, an ally within 5 squares of you regains 15 hit points" |
