Using Next-Gen CB for LFR

May 14, 2011 14:47:45 As you may be aware, there is now a new version of the CB, which has taken over the one I used to make my LFR character. I've got a few questions:

1. Is use of the CB considered LFR legal?
2. How do I convert my character into one of the three fighter types listed?

2) You can use the campaign's retraining rules to retrain your fighter into an Essentials fighter build the next time your character reaches a new level. See p. 16 of version 2.0 of the Campaign Guide. As per those rules, you have to keep your character's original name, race, class (i.e., fighter), and home region, but all other aspects of the character (including build, stats, feats, etc.) can be retrained.

FYI, this forum is a "legacy" forum, from before WotC rebuilt the forums into the "WotC Community". As such, it receives fairly little traffic. There is a new LFR group, which now contains the campaign's official forums. As the new forums are adminstered by (and regularly read by) the campaign staff, they're a far better place to get questions like these answered.

The new LFR group, and the forums, are at:
community.wizards.com/lfr (note that you may have to request membership in the group before you can post in the forums there)

If you were playing a phb1 fighter before, you don't need to do any conversion. It's exactly the same, wiith some updates to a few powers. It just had it's name changed to Weaponmaster (Fighter).

I suspect that the OP may have been asking if he could use the retraining rules to convert, for example, a Greatweapon fighter (PHB1 build) into a Slayer (Essentials build).
