Alright, I started a Barbarian Back in "Blood on Bright Sands" because there was an extra spot at the table. Currently, this is what he looks like:

Frag Treebreaker, LVL 6 Barbarian
Str 23
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 6
Wis 8
Cha 6

I built him for the fun of it, and as an extra character. He's pretty crazy, and mainly just around to have fun. If you can't tell by the stat's, He's a Half-Orc. His Feats are

LVL 1- Power Attack
LVL 3- Destructive Rage
LVL 6- Reckless Rage

I might get him to 9th lvl before the campaign ends, and was wondering what feat to take at 9th. I'm not interested in cheesing him out, because, well, he'll alway's hit hard, and as long as I play him dumb-but-not-suicidal, he should not be a detriment to the party. I am considering taking Intimidating Rage, because it sounds fun, but am also considering taking Destructive Rage again, since I heard that Power Critical stacks, and don't see a reason Destructive Rage wouldn't (hearsay, no sources.) What's a fun barbarian feat for a crazy psycho more interested in destruction and mayhem than most other characters, with a player who doesn't mind wasting a feat on something silly (as proven already.)

Any feat that can be taken multiple times says so specifically (see for example, power critical). Destructive Rage not so.

A nice feat for a barbarian is Mad Foam Rager, which I think is from the PHB2?

Don't really need Extra Rage at this point with that many Barb levels (gets 3rd by then iirc).

Mad Foam Rager is a shoe-in.
Is destructive rage the one that helps break objects? if so I'd retrain it for something useful ;)

It's actually a rather fitting feat. It kind of makes you look for things to destroy. And there are some really fun things to destroy; you just need to think outside the square a bit, similar to a low-level sorceror. When all you have is a hammer... ;)

I've thought of Mad Foam Rager. That one is pretty good, and further's the goal of making people go "What? THat's completely illogical." What do people think about Flay(PH2?) There are a suprisingly large number of unarmored combatents out there.

Monkey Grip?

Nothing says raging barbarian than a raging barbarian with a big ****off weapon...

Just for character purposes. I always like that feat on my big dumb brutes. Its nowhere near optimal...

With that kind of massive strength, you would do well with Imp. Bull Rush, Imp. Trip, or Imp. Grapple.

But bull rush is, by far, the most fun. Throwing a guy off of a tower, or down into a pit is really satisfying.

I'll have to think about it. To pull a quote from another game system, My Character is "Style over Substance." Not optimized (Not another will save!!!,) but just for fun. My higher lvl characters are more serious.

As an alternate, I might put my dead character up here, just to see what people think of the build I had. While he ain't coming back (getting eaten by a collossal corrupted silver dragon will do that to you,) I'd still be interested in the comments.

I'm glad you realize how suboptimal Monkey Grip is.

I had Monkey Grip on a character before and I hated monkey grip every time I missed an attack roll by one or two. In fact, I had strange luck with monkey grip. I missed most of my attacks by one or two.

Admittedly, Barbarians are the best for monkey grip, followed closely by fighters. BUT, any character with monkey grip will need to spend the money on a backup normal sized weapon in addition to the large weapon. Not all enemies are AC 5 oozes.

Not to mention that you get a greater damage increase from taking a -2 penalty while power attacking with every weapon except the bastard sword.

Improved Bull Rush sounds fun. As does Mad Foam Rager.
