| #1gargoyle117May 29, 2008 12:03:25 | I've got a strange question. Back in an old mod, I picked up a weapon enhancement that had to be bought on that AR (Morphing out of the MIC). It seemed like a good idea at the time, but as I have never really used it and would rather use the +1 enhancement for something more worthwhile for my character. Is it possible to sell back the enhancement at half cost, like any other purchased item? Before now, I had never considered needing to do this. It seems like the LGCS has not considered it either. Thanks |

Wouldn't meet the OP's needs. hey have another enchantment on the weapon that they can't get replaced. Besides, it would probably be cheaper to buy a new masterwork weapon, and hope for another access to the Everbright enchantment for the new weapon, but keep the old one in the meantime. Although I would have to say that I am surprised that the OP hasn't used the Morphing ability, since it lets a single weapon overcome any damage-type DR. |

I think you're confusing 'morphing' with either 'shadow striking' (Tome of Magic) or 'transmuting' (Magic Item Compendium), both of which alter a weapon's nature such that it overcomes the DR of whatever creature you've struck. Morphing simply changes the shape of the weapon: You can reshape a morphing weapon into any other melee or thrown weapon of the same size and type (light, one-handed, or two-handed). For instance, a morphing greatsword could become a spear, greataxe, or dire flail. |

You can reshape a morphing weapon into any other melee or thrown weapon of the same size and type (light, one-handed, or two-handed). For instance, a morphing greatsword could become a spear, greataxe, or dire flail. For instance, a greatsword is Slashing damage, while a dire flail is Bludgeoning, so the greatsword would be good against, say, zombie-types, while the dire flail would be good against, say, skeleton-types. Those other enhancements are, almost certainly, better overall, but unless the PC is fairly high level, I could see being able to transform a two-handed weapon into a different two-handed weapon (for the BBDF, for example), in order to target a damage-type DR to be better than having to carry multiple 2H weapons, just given the weapon weights... It won't help with DR/adamantine or DR/good, but it could be useful against the mooks, reducing the number of hits to take them out. |

Good point; it's been a while since I played any of my PCs where the "physical" DR (i.e., piercing, bludgeoning, slashing) mattered -- I seem to run into the adamantine/silver/cold iron/good DR a lot more recently... ;) |
