| #1katrickMar 26, 2008 14:37:40 | Good mornin, chaps and chapppettes, as before looking into the bard class i found some unusual occurences. I have a bard, in the Greyhawk Ruins thing , this gnome has elected to choose some spurious things along the way.(Melodic Casting CM) His name is Ruprecht Zimmerman(I'm sure you'll work it out), and as such he has Perform Percussion(tambourine)as well as Perform Singing. So this is my thinking,(please stop me at any point you may feel is wrong or unachieveable by the raw, rules etc..) First Round: Standard;cast Harmonize Greater(ROS allows bardic music as a move action) Move; Perform; (Tambourine); fascinate Second round: Standard; cast Harmonize Greater Move; cont. Perform;Tambourine;Fascinate Non Attributed(free action);Suggestion Third Round: Standard; Perform (Sing); Fascinate Move;cont. Perform Tambourine; Fascinate Non Attributed(free action);Suggestion Non Attributed(free action);Suggestion Fourth Round: Move; Perform (Sing); Fascinate Move;cont. Perform Tambourine; Fascinate Non Attributed(free action);Suggestion Non Attributed(free action);Suggestion Rinse and repeat?? How long before the wiggles take over an entire town?? The real question is, is there anywhere that says i cannot do two bardic music's at the same time ?? katrick Note i cast Harmonize for both performs in case you may read it that way ( i think thats reasonable) |

| #3katrickMar 26, 2008 15:35:12 | I read it as an offensive spell, like invis and there is a Feat that allows you to sing the Verbal componenent, I just can't find the ref at the mo: and he can Sleight of hand the somatic,.(Eschew,Still etc..) The main problem is that I was sure that i read somewhere (maybe in 3rd) that you couldn't sing twice?? katrick |

Disguise Spell from Complete Adventurer, page 108, is the feat, I think. Starting a Bardic music effect is a Standard action, maintaining a Bardic music effect that requires the Bard to concentrate also requires a Standard action. I haven't seen anything that lets you use a Move action to take a Standard action, everything I have seen says just the reverse, so I don't see how you could use 2 Standard actions in a round. (ROS allows bardic music as a move action) Got a page reference? And I am assuming you mean Races of Stone? |
| #5katrickMar 26, 2008 16:13:52 | yep pg162 races of stone greater harmonize, Melodic casting from Complete mage allows casting while Concentrating / continuing bardic music(complete mage pg44 katrick I guess i answered my own question huh? |
| #6kinevonMar 26, 2008 16:31:58 | yep pg162 races of stone greater harmonize, Melodic casting from Complete mage allows casting while Concentrating / continuing bardic music(complete mage pg44 Yep. Greater Harmonize explicitly allows you to wind up with two Bardic music effects running simultaneously. By that point, though, you have knocked yourself down to only having swift actions left, though, if you need to concentrate on both effects. |
| #7bitznarfMar 28, 2008 17:32:04 | Why do you need to cast Harmonize, Greater 2 times? Is there something I am missing? |
| #8katrickMar 29, 2008 8:45:44 | just in case someone decided that i needed one per song, i was running of memory of harmonize and Inspirational boost, then when i looked up harmonize i noticed it went over the page and answered my own question. katrick |
