Hey all,

I'm new to the forums, so hi!

I'm the DM for my game group (as always with me) and am using the Nentir Vale as the starting point for my campaign. I really like it, especially because I run a sandbox style DnD campaign. Basically, I'm getting the Nentir Vale completely made with the areas, settlements, factions, dungeons and random encounter tables for the different regions. And then using this for: playing and getting my PCs to Paragon, if not a little higher. Using it for a basis of designing the other territories in the world.

I also plan on "ageing" the world for future campaigns, so what my PCs do and don't do will affect the world and future campagins in it (I'm investing so much time into designing this world, i'm literally 11 hours in on one small territory that has a ton of premade stuff for it >.>)

Anyway, that's my plan so suggestions, comments or questions about that are very welcome.

Now, my biggests question is about the premade stuff for the Nentir Vale. I'd like as much as that stuff as possible. I really like the premade official stuff and they fit so well into the Nentir Vale as designed already.

I already own-
-H1, H2 and h3 adventures.
-Threats to the Nentir Vale
- Reavers of Harkenwold
- Hammerfast

I might have a couple more, I'm not sure. Basically I'm wondering if there are any other official adventures or books or anything that tie into the Nentir Vale. I wanna populate it with as much stuff as I can, keep my PCs busy for a while (and for future campagins in the area as well!) and wanna save myself some work too. (I have an entire continent to go!)

Also, if there are any other official areas, similiar to the Nentir Vale out there i'd appreciate if people mentioned them and the books they are in, even older stuff is fine. If it fits into my world or I can make it fit into my world, anything that saves me a little tim here and there is appreciated!

Thanks in advance guys!

Here's a link to the Nentir Vale wiki. It should give you a lot of grist and links. rpg.wikia.com/wiki/Nentir_Vale

On the WotC wiki, there are links to DDI adventures that say they are within the Nentir Vale. I'm not sure if all of them can realistically co-exist at the same time, but I'm sure you could do it!

Most all of the DDI adventures mention Arkhosia, Nerath, Bael Turath, or the Gods of the Core World which is why I included them in the wiki linked above. They follow the PoL idea that these are scattered city states with only a brief understanding of being related to the grand histories of the ancient empires. The Scales of War is set in an "Elsir Vale" which is of unspecified relation to the Nentir Vale, but the Scales of War Adventure Path does come into contact with extra planar locations that are shared in 4E lore.

The two adventure paths released featuring specific world altering events are the Death of Orcus (E1,E2, & E3) and of Tiamat (Scales of War), as either happening at the same time as your characters, happening before your characters, or not happening at all.

I think the most logical progression from the Reavers of Harkenwold is for the heroes to eventually participate in the unification of the Nearthi League in Mithralfast and the eventual overthrow the Iron Circle to the South (Be sure to have a sidetrek treasure hunt in the ruins of Arkhosia, and be sure your heroes get sold into slavery of the to the Torog worshiping Princes of the Scarlet Wastes). http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/dungeon/155/155_Heathen.pdf is a good Heroic adventure to act as a journey from the Nentir Vale to Adretia. What do the Hobgoblins of Bane think of the Hobgoblins of Asmodeus? (Did your heroes defeat the Exarch of Bane in the Chaos Scar? Is he the enemy of their enemy?)

Have the heroes Unite the Dwarves of Mithralfast and the Lords of the Nentir Vale and the Barony of Therund against the Iron Circle in the mid Paragon. Then let them have a few adventures as the famous peers of New Nerath, perhaps venture into the abandoned city of Nerath and drive off the Gnolls and Ruler of Ruin, or close out their personal quests before a final Epic level quest to stop the Karkothi invaders, who have been encouraged by the fall of Adretia to invade the Nentir Vale unopposed. Slipping past the Westward bound army of Demons and Undead the epic heroes are dispatched into the heart of the Karkothi Throneholds to destroy engines of war, enter portals into the Abyss, and even perhaps destroy their patron Tharizdun himself, to weaken the Karkothi invaders cementing the Nentir Vale's freedom and step into history as the greatest heroes of New Nerath.
