Feb 15, 2011 13:23:38 I want to run a D20 game, and as I'm looking through the core rulebook, I see very little attention given to aircraft; very few stats are given for various aircraft, the rules for vehicular combat involving aircraft are kinda lacking. No special maneuvers, no mention of Pilot checks. The book even lists Aircraft Operation (jet fighter) as a feat but doesn't include statistics for a single such aircraft. Did I miss something? Is it all in another place?

Feb 15, 2011 20:53:16 Sadly you will find in all the books where things seem haphazardly thrown together. I mean they should have had a dedicated Player and Gamemaster book seperately but you got snippets with the d20 modern book.... technically the book was just thrown together without any forethought to planning and etcetera. I mean I would have greatfully paid for a book that just dealt with homebrewing your vehicles from scratch for any PL campaign sadly there isn't one.

If you want military aircraft the look for the d20 modern military vehicles in either pdf or an out-of-print copy if you can find a reasonably priced copy or the Blood & Guts PDF has a few also

Feb 15, 2011 23:35:44 The best attention to vehicle combat is done in the future books. It would not be that hard to adapt the space fighting rules for atmosphere combat. I suggest grabbing the d20 Future book and the d20 Past book which goes into some detail of plane to plane combat. Again you can adapt the space combat to aerial combat and naval combat.

Blood & Guts has a few useful aircraft with their weapon systems and related Feats to use them which if you are a military pilot you should get access to xFeats every two levels I feel

The thing I really like about the d20 Moder Military Vehicles is the weapons appendix in the back... they have the A-10 Warthog aircraft statted and its Gau-8 Avenger Gatling Cannon...
