| #1nemezote88Oct 28, 2009 7:27:49 | Hello everyone, first post here. Im about to direct my first D20 Modern Campaing and I was browsing the manuals and came across a few things that I didnt quite like (though I do understand why it is the way it is on the manuals). For example, the fact that a 9mm round does the same damage as a .45 ACP round (!). And many other instances like that. Soooo...I decided to make a table with damage based on ammunition RATHER than on the gun itself, which made a hell of a lot more sense to me. It also helps me to lower the lethality of handgun rounds and avoid nasty and possibly unnecesary massive damage threshold scenarios, while keeping high-power revolver rounds and rifle rounds as deadly as they should be. This is crucial as this will be a firefight-heavy campaign and I wanted it to be as (ballisticaly) real as possible. For those interested, the table is here, the prices are taken directly from the Hornady website (one of the best brands of ammunition, for my tastes at least). What Im missing so far is a way to tell how many rounds of ammo fit in a pound/lbs/kg (any of the three, preferably lbs). As most players carry extra loose ammo on their backpacs and I need to know how much would that weight. If any of you guys has a rough estimation I would be very grateful. Thanks a lot. PS: Im also thinking of doing something with shotguns...maybe adding a 5 foot knockback chance, or penetration for slugs. As they seem a little underpowered for what they are. Any ideas on the subject would be welcome. |
