I'm planning to play a Battlemind in an upcoming d20 Modern campaign this summer and I'm a little confused as to the wording of the Psychofeedback power.

I understand that it costs 2 power points to raise on of my physical stat modifiers by 1, but does the boost stay in place for the duration of the power or do I have to keep burning power points every turn just to keep the same bonus to my stat?

Also do the 7 initial power points to manifest Psychofeedback in the first place go around in your stats or do you pay that much just to get the power starting and nothing else?

As I'm reading it, it looks like the initial 7 points are spent just to activate the power for 1 minute; they don't add to the ability mod. So for that minute, you have the ability to spend power points as a free action to boost your physical ability modifiers. Those buffs then stay in place for one round until you spend the points again, or don't. At the end of the minute, the power wears off.
