| #1daedelNov 14, 2011 8:16:02 | Hello, I need help with this. I cannot find a divine class able to create scrolls. All classes that can do that are arcane, but in the core book they list divine scrolls. Am i missing anything? How do you handle this? |
| #2kronos182Nov 15, 2011 7:06:57 | Personally, I'd let any character with a divine class with the feat Scribe Scroll, or whatever the d20 Modern arcane version is called as I don't have access to Urban Arcana at the moment, write scrolls just like a Mage would, just using divine spells instead. So basically.. if it's a feat, anyone who can cast spells uses it, or just create a divine version of the arcane one. |

| #4Rizzen9Dec 07, 2011 23:39:07 | I don't know what edition yourplaying, but I always thought or assumed that was how the scribe scroll feat worked, at least in 3.5 and pathfinder. Arcane scribes arcane scrolls and divine, divine scrolls. I that's how we always done it in our groups. |
| #5DreamStalkerDec 09, 2011 14:16:32 | The problem is that d20 Modern does not use the same Magic Item Creation system that D&D 3.0, 3.5, and Pathfinder uses. Item Creation feats do not exist and instead magic item creation is handled by class features. Even with Urban Arcana there is no divine spellcasting class that can Scribe Scrolls inherently though there is one that can Brew Potions, the Mystic. The Artficer prestige class grants a number of item creation class features including improved scroll scribing, but the class requires the ability to cast Arcane spells. Someone with both Divine and Arcane spells could take the Artficer prestige class and scribe divine scrolls but that is a pretty diverse character. Also, there are no rules even with the Artficer prestige class for creatings Staves, Rings, or Wonderous Magic Items. |
