| #1darkwareMay 29, 2008 19:46:29 | I can't find this in the documentation - What is the experience level for leveling up for each class? In other words, level 1 Strong Hero becomes level 2 when? And so on? Anyone know where that table is? |
| #2steventirey1985May 29, 2008 19:59:52 | Page 18 of the d20 Modern core rulebook. |
| #3backstabbistMay 30, 2008 1:06:15 | That is specificly not part of the public open free SRD, so you need to have the book for it. |
| #4kjakanMay 31, 2008 5:18:40 | Odd that it's not included. You can probably use the same xp progression as in D&D 3.x. The level-to-xp ratio is the same and it provides the same number of bonus feats and ability score bonuses. -K |
| #5tema69May 31, 2008 6:47:14 | I think it's to force people to buy the book - which is understandable, since the (M)SRD is free. There are actually a lot of things not included in the SRD. AFAIK it's the same as in D&D 3.0/3.5 - I've used my 3.0 D&D book for that a few times when I couldn't find the d20 Modern Rulebook. |
| #6nemafowJun 01, 2008 6:31:43 | The character level XP's are the same with modern and 3.5 d&d, but from memory, the amount of XP you get from encounters is different between them both. Probaby to balance the lethality of modern. |
| #7tema69Jun 01, 2008 7:13:09 | I find that my players in d20 level faster than they used to in D&D. But that may be because I throw some nasty stuff at 'em. |
| #8nadakaJun 01, 2008 9:00:08 | while the XP / level chart is the same, the XP reward chart is different than D&D. Just one more thing to consider. |
| #9layla_minogueJun 09, 2008 21:48:34 | while the XP / level chart is the same, the XP reward chart is different than D&D. Just one more thing to consider. Is it the same as the D&D 3.0 chart? Since d20 Modern was written using that rule set, maybe the D&D 3.5 chart changed (please correct me if I'm wrong.) Anyway, in my game I let most of the 3.5 rules replace the equivalent Modern rule (like with non-lethal damage.) |
| #10brokenoakleysJun 12, 2008 19:27:22 | Is that the only general rule not included in the SRD? I glanced through it and that was the only general rule I could find. The other excluded stuff seems to be the specific campaign material like urban arcana, etc. |
| #11tema69Jun 13, 2008 5:15:52 | Uhm. IIRC, moreaus aren't included either, nor are the general NPC stats. |
