Is there anyone left who Remembers Alternity?

just remenising on the past, and wondering if there was.

I remember Alternity... I tried playing it when it first came out, but it was too different from D&D so my players didn't like it much...

What happened to all of those guys? I know Sith had some family business to take care of and... never really got back to posting here.

I never got to play it back when it was released. no one was interested. It was D and D or go away, witch was disheartening so my books got shelved.

but I have new friends now and we're all kinda bored with D20(no offence). so I resantly dusted them off. I like the rules and had forgoted how much I liked the art in the books.

I think that was due to something that had happened down here, but i don't know what it was and I don't think he works for WotC anymore...

I would imagine he got fired for his ridiculously poor and highly unprofessional moderating practices.

On what forum? The D20Modern forums never needed much moderation at all. We behaved ourselves in our little corner of the boards. :P

In all honesty, though, I don't remember anything really bad about Sith, but then up until he left I never really read the other forums here.

He had a very ineffective moderating style that consisted entirely of "do nothing and ignore a problem until it explodes out of hand, then swing-in in such a heavy handed and threatening manner it borders on cyberbullying, then *****, ban, throw a tantrum, and disappear again when called out on it."

Except for that, though, he wasn't too bad of a guy. Just a terrible moderator.

I remember back in the day,
threads about bookscan PDFs and Star Trek would get some moderator attention

we also got some Extended Sizes and Laser As Fire Damage stuff for 20Future from a certain mod

Of course, back then every day we got a couple Wealth, 5.7FN, Unarmed threads... and a good share of Delete Me's to blow off steam in.
