| #2TheRealOrionJul 07, 2009 17:26:42 | At first blush, I would say that Searching is different than Knowing What Electrictronic Parts To Keep In Order To Sell Them. What I'm concerned about is the implication that your Wealth goes up immediately. Don't you have to sell the parts you Salvage? That said, if the Wealth increase is minor, then I wouldn't sweat it too much. I think we get our underwear in a bunch over Wealth a lot when it's not necessary. I mean, so your PCs are wealthy? So what? Work around it. |

The actual salvage rules should also consist of "type of item salvaged" groups cross referenced with "condition of item" to create a final PDC to be used along with the selling rules. |

Of course there is also the synergy path where you have the corresponding skills and each grants a bonus to the Salvage check and you can houserule that a PC has the feat i.e. if said PC grew up as an orphan on a Junk world where old starships/etcetera are tore apart The Synergy Path is one of my houserules for Mecha/Vehicle/Starship Repair & Maintenance |

You can't just give a half-chewed Leg Of Cyborg to a dealer and hope to get paid for it. I'm not saying I like the feat, but what you're talking about really doesn't fly if you think it through realistically or logically. |
