Okay, so I kept going in my head with the whole high gee/low gee thing last night, and generally I like where we all got (again, you as a community rock). Then I started to think about the other options in the Planetary Adaptation feat.

What's some fun things we can do with world types like barren, cold, dark, etc etc. I was thinking purely roleplay stuff. For example:

Barren World: Because of the low population and sparse landscapes, individuals from barren worlds become nervous and confused in major cities.

Like I said, it'd be pure rp factor, but it'd also be a fun option for those who like to really get inside their character.

This is a cool idea! Even if it's "just" role-play, I think it could be a great way to inspire players with different ways to play their characters. I built a few SF/pulp species for Phoenix that might be useful as templates:

Atlanteans:

These marine-dwelling humanoids have almost no vocal cords and can barely make whispering noises when they are on land (they communicate telepathically underwater). They also have extremely sensitive ears and experience anything louder than a quiet conversation as genuinely painful. Just walking along a busy city street would be torturous (Will Save to stay conscious?).

Mole-People:

These subterranean humanoids have darkvision (as per the ability) but are practically day-blind. Bright lights can blind them quite easily (Fort Save of some kind). They also have extremely sensitive noses, which makes them expert trackers but it also means that strong smells can distract them (either in a pleasant or unpleasant way).

I have a few more, although now that I look at this, this may not be exactly what you're looking for, eh?

not entirely useless. I like the day-blind feature for darkworlds, sort of a planet of Riddicks lol. IT doesn't have to just be for humans I guess, the more we all post the better for the community, innit?

For the day-blind feature, I believe you could grab that racial disadvantage that drow and i think orcs share.

I found this site today. It's an SRD, with some interesting additions. teh racial templates section seems to have a lot of what you are trying to do already covered.
