| #1rexthunderApr 07, 2008 1:45:45 | While not new to the D20 Future supplement, my GM has never really allowed cybernetics in any of our campaigns, believing they are too overpowered. He has recently, under much duress from myself;), decided to allow free rain in the cybernetic field. My question is this, i was interested in actually making a character with a sort of full cybernetic replacement body, Briarios (Appleseed) style. Are there any supplemental rules for this anywhere? Should i just play him as a robot character? The gm has agreed to allow anything from any book we can bring to the table and as of right now i have the modern and future books and I would consider buying the cyberscape book as well, if it gives me a way to play this type of pc. Thanks a bunch in advance! |

| #3rexthunderApr 08, 2008 0:00:00 | Damn, I was hoping for an easy fix, looks like i'll have a bit of work ahead of me, and I'm terrible at balancing features and abilities. :D |
| #4katahnApr 08, 2008 8:29:15 | I go with an in-game explanation of full-cyborg conversion as follows: 1. Remove brain from body, place in life-support nutrient vat. 2. Install high-capacity datajack to brain. 3. Place brain-in-jar in a robot body and connect control of body to data jack. 4. ??? 5. Profit! (sorry, had to be done) Basically RP explanations aside, this is basically what a previous poster described: becoming a construct in total. In terms of rules mechanics it would be a template, the purchase DC of getting it done would be high to say the least, and the character would have a constitution score of, well, whatever constitution the GM says the brain has. |
| #5spiritwalkerApr 15, 2008 9:11:00 | isn't there a full cyber-body in cyberscape? couldn't you simply modify that to your needs? |

You might try getting the book "Future Player's Companion" by Game Mechanics and published by Green Ronin Publishing (google it)..... anyways, in their book on page 111 is "Total Cybernetic Replacement" followed by a Cyborg (Template). This should help you out. |

| #8interitusApr 20, 2008 15:41:47 | You want the Total Organ Replacement from pages 35 and 36 of Cyberscape. It's the rules for basically exactly what katahn described. |
