Glitchy

I'm working on developing some bits of technology for a sci-fi d20 Future game and I'm having trouble coming up with names for things that sound both realistic and science fictiony. I was hoping someone here might be able to help me ith some suggestions or ideas.

The first thing I'm trying to name is a super computer A.I. system that will be at the player's disposal and ill play a fairly significant role in the game. Its meant to be semi-sentient and aware. Able to act on its own, but not to the extent that it can betray the players or create a Space Odyssey scenario (i.e. humans must be wiped out/enslaved for their own good). I've always liked the use of acronyms for naming A.I. systems like C.A.B.A.L. (Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform) from the Command & Conquer series, or E.D.I. (Enhanced Defense Intelligence) from Mass Effect. Acronyms that double as names, or at least kind of sound like names. I would like to have something similar, but I'm having trouble coming up with a believable name that makes sense and isn't just copying someone elses creation.

Secondly I'm having trouble coming up with a name for the major military faction the players will be a branch of. It is essentialy a global defense organization unaffiliated with any government or corporation. The big hiccup I'm coming across is coming up with something at least somewhat original that doesn't sound too cliche. In the same vein, the major enemy organization of the game also needs a non-cliche name. It is a cult-like, para-military terrorist faction similar to the Brotherhood of Nod from the Command & Conquer games.

The finale problem I'm having in the development of this game is the technology level. While I want it to be a d20 Future setting, I also want a war torn, almost post-apocalyptic aesthetic. I'm not possitive what level of technology to allow in order to accomplish this. Something close to a PL 6 level is what I'm looking for, but with a sort of scavanged feel to any technology not directly controled by the military or one of the mega-corporations. I'm trying to develop some basic rules/guidlines for the players to follow, to avoid them loading up with high power equipment and technology. Not sure if this makes any sense.

So any help anyone can offer would be very appreciated.

Computer names.. J.C.K. (Jack) or J.C.K.I. (Jackie). Not sure what it'll stand for, but something to work with.
