| #1penchantOct 01, 2010 2:36:14 | You're still here... although, I did have to squeeze past some hot water pipes, duck under the falling cindeblocks and crawl down 40 feet of steam tunnel. In other words, I found a shortcut. I know there isn't much traffic here but I thought i would poll here first for interest in a play by post game using d20 modern. ![]() I run a super powered game set in the vein of pulp heroes. its not a superhero game, in the sense that it is spandex averse and has more of a real world sensibility. characters do have real powers however and the game world has a rich history leading back to the 1930's though it takes place modern day. I don't use either DC or Marvel characters, and this isn't a game to play those kinds of characters (well, marvel anyway; DC stayed closer to its roots). Its more of a Doc Savage, Flash Gordon, Rocketeer sort of place. I've never run one before, so we will likely begin with a once a week update minimum. we would increase that once I get comfortable with it. other details to be decided as we gain ground. I'll post in other blogs in a bit (suggestions welcomed) but again, I still like here best. cheers! |

| #4Master_VegaOct 05, 2010 0:22:32 | I've been saying it since Gleemax: the "all your houserules are belong to us" policy (I know that's an exaggeration, but it's what the clause feels like) killed the board. We thrived on homebrew stuff since Wizards wouldn't give us anything, and when they claimed rights to everything we posted... well... |
| #5TheRealOrionOct 05, 2010 23:52:11 | To be fair, the good majority of our houserules belonged to them under the OGL, and very, very few of them were going to make anyone rich. I realise it's a matter of principle for some, but it wasn't actually that big a deal. I feel partly responsible for mentioning it in scary terms. |
| #6ShesheyanOct 06, 2010 6:27:49 | The main reason I created the Unlimited forum is to offer an independant place that would not be pulled down after a corporate meeting at WoTC. There were a few "close calls" in the last two years. |
