Mar 26, 2008 23:39:00 I really like this game and was wondering, (out of curiosity) if anyone has seen any conversions. I was thinking about playing fast and loose with the Thermal Energy, (I dont want this to become a resource grab of a game) and if anyone has heard of a write up, could you let me know plz?

Apr 02, 2008 14:03:21 While I haven't heard of or seen a write up. I do have a third party manual for a differnt d20 game, and in that manual is a weapon I think would work fairly well for the Minigun mounted on the Vital suits, if your interested in saving your self a step or two.

Apr 02, 2008 20:15:21 I also came up with another idea for you, the Klick and the Extraterestrial Spider from d20 Future and the Monsterous Fly Trap from Modern would make good choices for the most basic forms of Akrid, with perhaps something like, Death Throes(EX): When slain an Akrid instantly freezes and collapses. Standard risk from falling objects. no clue for the big ones or the flying ones.
I know you don't want to make your game a resource grab game, but, I think you should include thermal Energy in some capasity. after all it is the reason that the humans returned to the planet.

Apr 02, 2008 22:12:29 Sounds good, and I plan on implementing Thermal Energy, but just not to the point of: "Okay everyone, new round, mark off 6 thermal energy" I mean, the lack of thermal energy could make for quite a few good games. "scanners pick up a huge thermal deposit in (insert area), if we could claim it, we would be set for a couple of weeks"

I was even thinking of using some demons/devils or other insect like creatures for Akrid.

I'll have to check out the rules you mentioned for the vs weapons, or come up with my own for characters using mech weapons.

Apr 07, 2008 22:13:23 Well for whatever it may be worth the weapon is inMongoose publishing's Soldier's Companion. It uses a system more in line with DnD however the Gau 20 as this weapon is called is fairly easy to convert. (Just treat it like the Minigun in Menace Manual and your good to go. I don't know if its allowed otherwise I'd post my completed, converion here. The game that Soldier's Companion goes with is call Armageddon 2089.
