Mar 12, 2008 14:11:33 For those of us in the States who prefer to use actual modern minis in our d20 Modern games, but for whom the best such minis usually have to come from overseas and tend to be expensive, there's some good news today.

Reaper will be coming out with a non-fantasy line in June.

I imagine these'll be priced in the same range as their standard non-painted blisters.

Again, good news if you dig minis and like to paint them and use them in your d20 Modern games. Obviously, not everyone does, and nobody is forcing anybody to, so no flaming, please.

Thanks for posting this. My gaming group just started playing D20 Modern on Saturday, so the timing on this is awesome. They look to be of excellent quality.

Thanks for hipping me to The Assault Group. Though I buy many moderns from the UK (Copplestone, Foundry, Hasselfree, Artizan), I was not aware of these guys. The prices are slightly better than those others (especially for a multi-unit blister), but I have to say the quality just doesn't seem up to par with the Hasselfrees. They look similar to the Copplestones and Artizans (maybe Mark Copplestone does sculpts for them, too?), but Copplestone has a broader range of non-military stuff.

Still, UK figs are hard to come by down here in the Bay Area. If you don't want to wait for an overseas delivery, then you gotta drive thirty miles to get any, and then you never know when they're just going to stop carrying them. Having something like Reaper, which my local friendly hobby shop keeps well-stocked week after week, available to me at the same price I'm already paying for fantasy figs, will be a real treat.

Edit: I had to come back to praise the huge selection of weapons sprues The Assault Group carries. That is a very cool resource to have, indeed. Thanks again!
