Nobody is going to understand this thread. That is totally cool. But this is my thread. My thread is about missing the all of us that was. I miss Master Vega and his gun brawler class. I miss backstabbist and his Iowa battleship. Seriously, I do. You are a total ass hat backstabbist, but I miss the days when we could work together. I miss Waylon Wolf and his love of Saga edition, and Star Wars as the new d20 Modern. Saga rocks. I miss MechaPilot and the fact that I have like minded company on these boards. I miss narukugami, even though he keeps calling me (and the other side of the 4e/3e battle) a child, because I recognize his name from the good old days, and because even though he is riding his own high horse right now (which makes his observations sort of hypocritical), the truth is he is right. Doesn't matter how much I don't want it to be so, it is. I miss j0lt, because damn, that cat was cool. J0lt, wherever you are, you rock. I miss Skrittiblak, because his settings were awesome. Trappslider, I miss you because you were always the most productive member of this forum. Don't let the rest of our ******** get you down. You work hard. Your hard work IS appreciated. You rock. You are the best. marcoasalazarm, you deserve mention to. The threads you created, thumbs up! Same to Ragitsu. jacemachine, you are a rock and a half machine. TheRealOrion, where the **** is your title already? You deserve one way more then I do. I don't know why I have one and you don't. You should be called the peace maker in these parts. You are no member, you are something way more. Webster, I have probably caused you a half a dozen head aches. Sorry. I don't know what else to say. I am 100% sure I forget mentioning at least someone worth mentioning. Sorry dude. You know who you are.

So, tomorrow, I am totally going to regret writing this. Way to touchy feely . Not my style. Fact is, I am better at playing the jerk. But, this is what I have to say right now. I dedicate this post to the creation of a pleasant community. May all of you have a good night, and a good morning, and all that jazz.

I miss you and your ginormous re-writes of starship rules, mecha rules, and just about everything that needed re-writing/houseruling. I also miss your support of other houserules on this board.

The trouble with this sort of thread, and the thread I started, is that there isn't anywhere to go from it but parting ways. For the most part we called it a cease-fire in my thread, but with no direction we're never going to have the same fun we did when d20Modern was a brand-new red-headed stepchild instead of the old and forgotten red-headed stepchild.

Maybe we should all pool our efforts together and make an RPG called D20Stepchild. :P
The only real problem would be finding a balance of our tastes, and from looking at the edition war threads that's not a small problem.

Ps. I'd still have my Gunbrawler class in my sig if it weren't for the stupid random sig-resets. >_>

- Also... could you try taking a few less shots at backstabbist? I know he's bothered you a lot recently, but I'm sure you don't have to reference him (insultingly) in every thread.

Dave, look at the bright side....
at least Narukugami is not calling you an ass hat.

I tried to put an end to it by simply ignoring your posts
but rather than you also ignoring mine, you took it as an opportuniuty to rally against me unchecked.

Thats over, no more free ride against me, you're off my Ignore list
and I will again be checking your oh so quality posts
like the "ASSHAT" one you started this flame thread with

Since I wasn't mentioned and I am a member of subset 'all', I hereby declare this thread false.

It is also well beyond the previous huggle thread. We are gonna be rounding first base soon.

I understand your statement. Still there are currently treads, very alive, that deal with interesting RPG topics. No book required. As a GM I always like to read, participate and collect info from worth while treads. This is the primary mission of this place after all ...;)

Being the Modern board, shouldnt that be
Rifle Packin Gnomes,
Rangers Pin'ing Grenades,
Rogue Pistolero Gangs (and their affiliate Rouge Pistolero Gals),
RetroProgressive Genetics and RadioParticle Guns for future campaigns
Really Prolific Goofiness

Hey, no chick-flick moments! :p

Yeah, I totally understand where you're coming from. I miss the good old days of this forum, but after the whole board shakedown and G0's slap in the face (aka removal of the entire d20 Modern section in the forums), I just migrated with many of the others to BG where d20 Modern isn't really talked about so much.

I haven't done much work on d20 Modern stuff at all recently. I've mostly been playing SWSE, and doing some PbP games on the other forums. I can't remember the last time I did any houseruling for d20 Modern!

Maybe I'll start coming by a little more, my d20 TMNT project never did get finished, and today I had an interesting houserule idea regarding critical threat ranges...

Check out the Land of Nod in my sig. Its a sci-fi setting build using the SWSE rule set. You might get a kick out of it.

Holy long! lol

How much time have you put into that?! Between the fluff and crunch, you'd think it was a large group project!

Oh dear god. I don't know. I won't lie, every house rule I ever wrote in the d20 Modern forums was actually designed for the Land of Nod. Then SWSE came out, and I realized that I could drop the creation of house rules and get right to applying SWSE rules to fluff and putting up the setting. So I did. I started when SWSE was first released. I am still releasing new write ups, though I have been a little uninspired to right for some time. Its not that I don't still have stuff that need write ups. I have one more planet in the Terran home system, and the entirety of the Edonian system, plus a few more starships, a bunch of organization write ups, and the DM write up for the Lilithians... but between the work I need to do on my masters, and my book, I just have not had the inclination to write for that setting right now (as I have not been playing). Which is too bad, because I really want to finish it. I keep waiting for inspiration to work on the LoN to hit me.

I wish I had people to help me. It would mean that the setting would get finished sooner. :P

Other way around.

Robotech was the US title of the horribly (but entertaining regardless) butchered and re-edited amalgamation of the three COMPLETELY UNRELATED transforming mecha shows Macross, Mospedia, and another show I can't remember off the top of my head.

Macross is the original Japanese version, which is what the first season of the US TV show is cut from.

The third would be Southern Cross, which I never bothered watching. I recently rewatched the original Macross series in Japanese as a way to study the language, and found that the redone story in the Robotech version of Macross actually made more sense (cultural differences notwithstanding). That, and I liked the music better, but that's probably just my nostalgia talking.

In the original Japanese version, Max is a cocky bastard! :p

That one was fine, but you may want to check out the Macross movie (Macross: Do You Remember Love?). It really condenses the story, and was mostly made for those who knew the story already, but the animation is really great!

As long as they do Veritechs right and don't completely butcher the story (which in itself is a butchering of another story, funny that :P) I'm all for it.

I miss the activity of the Character Development forum, with PiFace (or was it the guy using the same avatar) putting over 20 last words of various characters in the Quotes thread, including those of a character that literally lasted one round before he drew up a new one ("You're a goldfish!" "No, you are." *thump thump thump drown*).

I miss Homestar D20 (I feel old for remembering, much less having a copy in my files). I miss Monty Python D20 (the stats and design for Rabbit With Big Pointy Teeth was featured by Wizards one time. I love the concept art, XD).

Those're about the only things I've ever had to do with this forum, aside from the various "101/2001 Things" threads in D20FG.
