I've downloaded and read all of the stuff from the Naruto d20 website and I just need some people who can tell me how to use the d20 modern format instead of the D&D one. Could you help me out? I need to know because I am starting my own Naruto d20 RPG.

Okay I've read the character you posted here and some of the characters you've posted on the actual Frankto Naruto d20 forums and there are some things on there that I don't recognize. Maybe its just the abbreviations I'm not used to seeing and I think once you tell me I may feel stupid, but I need to know:

1) What are do these following abbreviations mean?- Mas, BAB, and Grap.
2) I know what Grap means, but not the rules that go with it, so I will need some help with that.
3) If you want, you can PM me the answer on this forum or the Frnakto forums (I use the same username.), thanks!

MAS stands for Massive Damage Treshold. It's exactly the same as in D&D, except that it's equal to the constitution score (modified by some feats) instead of being 50. Suffering damage equal or higher to one's MAS means you must succeed a Fortitude save (DC 15), or be reduced to -1 hp and fall unconscious (unless you have some feat or talent to prevent this).

As for Grapple, the rules are as follow:
Grapple
Grappling means wrestling and struggling hand-to-hand.
There are three stages to grappling: grabbing, holding, and pinning.
Grabbing
Normally, a grab is just the first step to starting a grapple. If the character grabs an opponent, but fails to go on to hold him or her, the character doesn’t actually start a grapple. However, sometimes all a character wants to do is grab the target.
Holding
Once a character has established a hold, he or she is involved in a grapple. From a hold, a character can attempt a number of actions, including damaging the opponent or pinning the opponent. A character can’t get a hold on any creature more than two size categories larger than the character. (However, such a creature can get a hold on the character—so while a character can’t initiate a grapple with a creature more than two size categories larger than, a character can still end up in one.)
Pinning
Getting the opponent in a pin is often the goal of a grapple. A pinned character is held immobile.
Grapple Checks
When a character is involved in a grapple, he or she will need to make opposed grapple checks against an opponent—often repeatedly. A grapple check is something like a melee attack roll. A character’s attack bonus on a grapple check is:
Base attack bonus + Strength modifier + grapple modifier
Grapple Modifier
A creature’s size works in its favor when grappling, if that creature is Large or larger in size. Conversely, a creature of Small or smaller size is at a disadvantage because of its size when grappling. Instead of using a creature’s size modifier on a grapple check (as would be done for a melee or ranged attack roll), use the appropriate grapple modifier from Table: Grapple Modifiers.

Table: Grapple Modifiers
Size (Example) Grapple Modifier
Colossal (blue whale [90 ft. long]) +16
Gargantuan (gray whale [40 ft. long]) +12
Huge (elephant) +8
Large (lion) +4
Medium-size (human) +0
Small (German shepherd) –4
Tiny (housecat) –8
Diminutive (rat) –12
Fine (horsefly) –16

Starting a Grapple
To start a grapple, a character first needs to grab and hold his or her target. Attempting to start a grapple is the equivalent of making a melee attack. If the character gets multiple attacks in a round, he or she can attempt to start a grapple multiple times (at successively lower base attack bonuses). Follow these steps.
1. Attack of Opportunity: A character provokes an attack of opportunity from the target he or she is trying to grapple. If the attack of opportunity deals the character damage, the character fails to start the grapple. If the attack of opportunity misses or otherwise fails to deal damage, proceed to step 2.
2. Grab: The character makes a melee touch attack to grab the target. If the character fails to hit the target, the character fails to start the grapple. If the character succeeds, proceed to step 3.
3. Hold: Make an opposed grapple check. (This is a free action.) If the character succeeds, the character has started the grapple, and deals damage to the target as if with an unarmed strike.
If the character loses, he or she fails to start the grapple. The character automatically loses an attempt to hold if the target is two or more size categories larger than the character is (but the character can still make an attempt to grab such a target, if that’s all he or she wants to do).
4. Maintain the Grapple: To maintain the grapple for later rounds, the character must move into the target’s square. (This movement is free and doesn’t count as part of the character’s movement for the round movement.) Moving, as normal, provokes attacks of opportunity from threatening enemies, but not from the target. The character and the target are now grappling.
If the character can’t move into the target’s square, the character can’t maintain the grapple and must immediately let go of the target. To grapple again, the character must begin at step 1.
Grappling Consequences
While a character is grappling, his or her ability to attack others and defend him or herself is limited.
No Threatened Squares: A character doesn’t threaten any squares while grappling.
No Dexterity Bonus: A character loses his or her Dexterity bonus to Defense (if the character has one) against opponents the character isn’t grappling. (The character can still use it against opponents he or she is grappling.)
No Movement: A character cannot move while held in a grapple.
If the Character is Grappling
When a character is grappling (regardless of who started the grapple), he or she can attempt any of several actions on his or her turn. Unless otherwise noted, each of these options is equivalent to an attack. (If the character normally gets more than one attack per attack action, he or she can attempt as many of these options as he or she has attacks available, using his or her successively lower attack bonus for each roll.) The character is limited to these options only; he or she cannot take any other actions.
Damage the Opponent: Make an opposed grapple check; if the character succeeds, he or she deals damage as with an un*armed strike.
Pin: Make an opposed grapple check; if the character succeeds, he or she holds the opponent immobile for 1 round. The opponent takes a –4 penalty to Defense against all attacks from other people (but not from the character); however, the opponent is not considered helpless.
A character can’t use a weapon on a pinned character or attempt to damage or pin a second opponent while holding a pin on the first.
A pinned character can’t take any action except to attempt to escape from the pin.
Escape from Grapple: Make an opposed grapple check. If the character succeeds, he or she can escape the grapple. If more than one opponent is grappling the character, the grapple check result has to beat all their check results to escape. (Opponents don’t have to try to hold a character if they don’t want to.)
Alternatively, the character can make an Escape Artist check opposed by the opponent’s grapple check to escape from the grapple. This is an attack action that the character may only attempt once per round, even if the character gets multiple attacks.
If the character has not used his or her move action for the round, the character may do so after escaping the grapple.
Escape from Pin: Make an opposed grapple check. If the character succeeds, he or she can escape from being pinned. (Opponents don’t have to try to keep the character pinned if they don’t want to.) The character is still being grappled, however.
Alternatively, a character can make an Escape Artist check opposed by the opponent’s grapple check to escape from the pin. This is an attack action that the character may only attempt once per round, even if the character gets multiple attacks.
Break Another’s Pin: Make an opposed grapple check; if the character succeeds, he or she can break the hold that an opponent has over an ally.
Draw a Light Weapon: A character can draw a light weap*on as a move action.
Attack with a Light Weapon: A character can attack with a light weapon while grappling (but not while pinned or pinning). A character can’t attack with two weap*ons while grappling.
If the Character is Pinned
When an opponent has pinned the character, he or she is held immobile (but not helpless) for 1 round. (the character can’t attempt any other action.) On the character’s turn, he or she can attempt to escape from the pin. If the character succeeds, he or she is still grappling.
Joining a Grapple
If the target is already grappling someone else, a character can use an attack to start a grapple, as above, except that the target doesn’t get an attack of opportunity against the character, and the character’s grab automatically succeeds. The character still has to make a successful opposed grapple check and move in to be part of the grapple.
If multiple enemies are already involved in the grapple, the character picks one against whom to make the opposed grapple check.
Multiple Grapplers
Several combatants can be in a single grapple. Up to four combatants can grapple a single opponent in a given round. Creatures that are one size category smaller than the character count as one-half creature each; creatures that are one size category larger than the character count as two creatures; and creatures two or more size categories larger than the character count as four creatures.
When involved in a grapple with multiple opponents, the character chooses one opponent to make an opposed check against. The exception is an attempt to escape from the grapple; to escape, a character’s grapple check must beat the check results of all opponents.

Hope this helps, and I still don't understand what you mean by "Your own Naruto RPG". Do you mean a game, a game forum, a set of rules in itself?

Good day,
Frankto Vinneti

You need a proper concept first. Not his permission.

Turn in a proper concept for a character and then things go from there. That's what I had to do.

More info about Playtesting & Help Needed..

In regards to playtesting..

As the title suggest, the Naruto d20 Playtesting starts shortly. We need a few more trusted individuals to help us in this task, so speak up!

You must, however, meet a few requirements:

#1: You MUST use propper grammar and spelling. Not doing so means that you will be unable to playtest with us.

#2: You must near the GMT EST -5 timezone.

#3: Your knowledge of the Naruto Universe must extend futher than "Well, Ninjas do cool techniques and I know Konoha is in the fire country...", meaning you don't have to ask question when I talk about the Wind country's Kazekage for example.

#4: You must not distribute the materials I will provide you with before, during and after the playtesting unless I authorize you to do so. Doing so will get you expelled from the Playtesting project and see your character suffer the "Ninpou, Zansatsusha no Kuchiyose"*.

All applicants should note that whatever happens in the game will affect the writing of Naruto: d20. If you create a clan, ask me to make an Advanced Bloodline or technique, there is a good chance that I add it to the supplement itself.

Applicants should reply to this thread and provide a character concept after which I will judge wether or not they qualify to participate in the playtest. Accepted applicants will be provided with the full developped content (meaning all advanced classes, equipments, techniques, new rules, feats, etc.).

You should base your character on the following informations:

The game will be set in the Country of Rock (which I will call that for the lack of exact name). In the Hidden Village of Jade (Suigyokugakure no Sato), which prospered well under the guidance of the Second Tsuchikage (Nidaime), the players will be young ninjas (some of them not even Genin) who train to achieve an even greater level of power and become great ninjas.

Being so far north, the people of the Country of Rock are used to cold weather. Among Rock Ninjas, it's the survival of the fittest. Their cold, harsh manners don't make them any less competent or dutiful, however, and they are good at following orders.

That's pretty much all there is to say for now.

Good day,
Frankto Vinneti

* more details on that technique to come soon

In regards to help needed...

Also the project is in need of proofreaders, artists who can provide illustrations, people who are good at layout design, and content providers from people who are skilled in making things for D20 Modern.

Anyone out there like the anime series of Naruto? Ever curious about how it would translate into D20 Modern? Well come on over to Frankto's Realm and read up about what's been done for it so far, and to talk about your own ideas for the setting.

You can find more information about the project through the following links, and please direct all inquiries about it there.

From the Naruto: d20 Website, January 21st, 2005
Good and bad news revealed this Friday. First, the Naruto: d20 Main File is released. It's a 102 pages document containing the rules, more than enough content to play a long lasting campaign.

Onto the bad news, now. Because of recent lack of inspiration and motivation, the project is put under undefined hiatus until the creative juices start flowing again. Discuss this issue and Naruto: d20 in general on the forums.

Main file released for all to see at last. EDIT: The project has been picked up again.

Thank you for your good words! The Quest and Events and Ninjas and Villages chapters are missing, as Naruto: d20 is not complete yet. Since I'm the only one working on the project, along with a few people giving me ideas and some occasionnal paragraph/NPCs, it might take a while to get to that.

EDIT: On a whole other subject, I've released an updated version of the Main File, including the Ghastly Inheritance template and Uzumaki Naruto. That's Kyuubi's brat for ya!

All right, here is the deal. I've made my own clan, and a technique for the clan Hijutsu. Trouble is, my brother, whom I play with, thinks something is up with it. Not that it's uber powerful, but that it's not good enough! I think it's just fine, considering what it can do later. Oh well. We just would like some help in the resolution of the idea. Here is the tech!

Shikaze no Jutsu (Four Winds Technique)
Taijutsu (Martial Arts; Kazekakure Hijutsu) [Rank 4]
Learn DC:19; Perform DC: 17; Time: 1 full-round action; Components: M; Range: Touch; Target: 1 creature; Duration: Instantaneous; Saving Throws: Fort, stun; Chakra Cost: 2

This technique is one of the many in the arsenal of the Kazekakure. It is also one of the most simple. The user creates the illusion of many attacks upon his chosen target. Simply put, the user may make his full number of attacks four times. However, they may only deal damage a number of times equal to their number of normal attacks, unmodified by this technique. (Ex: Hijei activates this technique. He has two attacks. Therefore, he makes eight attacks, but may only deal damage twice). The target must make a Fortitude save, or be stunned for the next round as they imagine the pummeling they are not, in fact, taking.

Though the time slot indicates a full-round action, this technique takes no time to perform and a full-round to execute. Skikaze no Jutsu takes effect immediately.

Any help anyone can provide, including criticism, is welcome. Have fun with it! :D

Buddha is correct (of course). The technique, in my opinion, is much too powerful for its rank and Chakra Cost. It's almost an automatic hit, since a character with 4 attacks can make 4 attacks at his highest attack bonus.

If your brother thinks the technique is too powerful, then he is probably looking for a high powered campaign (or is a powergamer). In addition, I think the technique should be a Genjutsu (Mind-Affecting; Stun), but that's just me.

  • 1 narutod20.com subdomain redirect

  • 3rd place
  • His character added to the main file in a special section that has its own bookmarks.

There is no level restriction, and you can make them as you wish. But we will not accept absurdly min-maxed characters or broken characters. In addition, you are limited to one character per user. Be sure to double check, you don't get a second chance.

You MUST use the very same character template as shown in the main file. We will not read or evaluate those who did not.

That is all people! Come in big numbers!

The contest will end on April 22nd.

(If this is forbidden, I would appreciate a warning or the post to be deleted instead of having the thread locked, please. The CoC is unclear on that point.)

All very nicely down, Frank.

I'm looking forward to Scrolls of Knowledge.

In fact, a number of players in my gaming group have now also expressed some interest in campaigning using your 'Naruto' system.

Can you perhaps provide some hint of what 'Scrolls of Knowledge' will include so I can judge whether it would be best to wait until its release before I start my game using your rules?

A cover... more art? More informations, maybe?

The first volume will be released as "Scrolls of Knowledge" when it hits 350 pages and I complete it. There's more than enough information to play in long-lasting campaign already.

So far, with 323/350 pages, I feel I'm doing pretty good.

One year already... Naruto: d20 is already one year old! I feel as though it's been 10.

I can't let this thread die! For with the next update, possibly tomorrow, Naruto: d20 will have a pagecount about as big as the d20 Modern Core Rulebook! That's 376 vs. 384, and it's still going!

I just wanted to say that this resource is simply awesome. Frankto has really put a lot of effort into this, and it's lastest incarnation (424 pages!) speaks for it's self. I can't stop making characters/NPCs, the whole thing kind of bit my muse in the rear. Keep it up!

Frank, I was considering running a Naruto campaign and I was wondering if you have any tips for creating a balanced Bloodline feat. I'm impressed with the way that you retained all the flavor without making bloodlines overpowered. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanxz0rz in advance. :D

This has got to be the most stupid question to have ever come your way (and, well, I admit it, it shouldn't have been asked), but here's it:

how much compatibility there is between Naruto D20 and standard D20 Modern? My friends are big fans of D20M/Past/Future/Apocalypse, but not much Naruto (they, like me, keep thinking 'why can't you note the freakin' snake man behind the Hokage and f"!··ing ATTACK HIM!!!!?'), and wanted to try and play it, some of them Nins, some not.

So it might be just too dumb (I suppose) to give the Snake Man (you know who I'm talking about) some street justice.
#67

Frank_Vinneti

Nov 27, 2005 1:18:33
Hate to say this, but... yeah, it is. Naruto: d20 is DESIGNED for d20 Modern. If you mean a modern setting, then guns are going to be a hell of a lot less efficient with the MAS raised to 50.

Other than that, I suppose it should be fine.
#68

marcoasalazarm

Nov 29, 2005 19:30:23
So they use the 'Superheroic' Reality level of D20M (Saves 50 and all), but it wouldn't create that big an interference to switch that part down to 'Cinematic' (saves as per character's current Con score), would it?

I mean, i'm having a brain fart at the moment, but would that be the biggest disadjustment, Jutsus and everything aside?
#69

Frank_Vinneti

Nov 30, 2005 18:22:01
Reverting the MAS to Cinematic "setting" would be disastrous in my opinion because the players would feel obligated to have an high Fortitude bonus to pass the MAS saves that will undoubtably occur each round when a damaging technique is chucked at their face.

The balance is precarious due to the Chakra Control skill to convert the cost to HPs, so if the party has a Medic-nin, they could potentially chuck fireballs at each other all day without running out of steam. That's if the GM is not careful, of course. EDIT: Wait, nevermind. I took care of that problem ages ago.

But yeah, that'd pretty much be the biggest adjustment I can think of right now. That, and you can now walk on walls, water, that kind of stuff.

Nice to see it's still alive.

Following the thread I kinda said on the last posts of mine: a balancing factor between Narutoverse characters and Modern characters, I think, would be that they can't access each other's stuff (or so, I think).

So Naruto characters can't have, for example, Personal/Advanced Firearms Proficiency and can buy handguns, and Modern characters can't have Nin Weapons Proficiency and Nin weapons are all Illegal (+4) outside the Villages, with penalty to be on an ANBu raid if you DO buy them.

So, well... I'd like to get an opinion.
#73

Frank_Vinneti

Jan 13, 2006 0:42:42
That makes very little sense, in my opinion. I did my best to leave the people sufficient freedom in their choices of campaign so that, if they so wish, they can play ninja gunslingers or carry some heavy weaponry.

I don't see why Ninja would deny themselves the obvious advantage firearms would bring only for the sake of keeping them out of the hands of players or upholding traditions.

Being that both kama and kunai are gardening tools, shuriken can be anything from a thin blade to a "ninja star," and that a Kodachi isn't a ninja weapon any more than a "Ninjato," I don't really understand why Nin Weapons would need to be Illegal in non-Shinobi Villages. I mean, what is there to outlaw? The design?

Just made two adventures, related in some way to the Naruto game. One was the cave intro adventure that is on the Naruto PDF. That went well.

The other (run by a friend) was to drop Orochimaru as a 'guest star' in a Space Marine D20 Future adventure. Part of the team was slaughtered on the first encounter, and the rest went the way of the 'Alien Trilogy', barricading themselves on the ship's CIC and then running for it when he managed to get inside (using some Jutsu to crawl thru an extremely tight ventilation shaft).
One of my friends' PCs went Kamikaze and blew himself (and possibly Orochimaru) to Heck with a Nuclear Hand Grenade. But like I said (and the GM insinuated), it's 'possibly'...

I've starting sifting thru the site just now, and the PDF has a few flaws. My sig has a couple of links that some of you may find interesting.
I have certain questions.
  • Do I need BESM?
  • Do I need d20 Modern?
  • Have you seen www.d20nojutsu.com?
  • Can somebody please help me with creating my [thread=637914]Psionic-Narutoverse[/thread]?
  • Why are you making up new rules when the existing rules are perfectly capable of emulating every single thing you could possibly want? A tweeking here, a little tweeking there maybe, but it's already all available.
Actualy I would like to have people consider amalgamating all Naruto fans bent on creating a game sytem for them to play on their table into one area.

Okay, I don't know if you're aware of it, but I fell for Nightscreamer20's naruto for the non-d20, and played it in two campaigns. But this whups it. Nicely done, but I have one question, which might sound dumb......

Are there significantly different rules for d20 (no, I've never played d20 with the strong, fast, etc characters), and if there is, is there a separate rulebook that one would need to aquire to make this class useable in an upcoming campiagn? I have a feeling that both of these are a yes, but I want to check.

Anyway, the class is beautiful, and I can't wait to make a Byakugan character. Thw white-eyes is in my idea, perfect, and the jutsu list is way better that either nightscreamers or my own modded version. You rock, have a guitar cookie.

Woo-hoo boy, I haven't been here in a while. To respond to your suggestion, swordwar, I'm afraid that this isn't going to happen soon, likely never.

On other notes, there's been an update a tenday ago, and there's going to be another one soon. I'm working out the kinks in the system, revamping a lot of rules, such as the puppet combat and the kikaichuu, which I really, really need to rename.

The update should happen reasonably soon, a few days or a week at the latest, unless something comes up. I'm also working on adding more class options, such as the Shade for this one update, which is basically a modified version of the D&D Assassin--that doesn't require that you be evil ;)

That's it for the progress report. If you have a question, come over to the forums at narutod20.com/forum, since it's far more likely to be answered quickly there either by myself or the community. And who knows? With your help, it might even become a half-decent RPG someday!

WIth the manga/anime being as big as it is and trying to stat every single Jutsu, character, move, bloodline and piece of (rather insane) equipment there is, it MIGHt be bound for a thousand.

No, he is just one out of many in the planes;)

And I looked at your system but am a little disappointed it is based off d20 modern(which I don't particuarly care for) rather than fantasy.

I agree. But remember that Naruto is written by a DBZ fan, and he'll whip out insane levels of power for the story.
Additionally, Naruto characters require a large number of feats, powers, and class abilites to translate them into the d20 fantasy. The fact that the game designers didn't differentiate between horizontal growth (more options) and vertical growth (bigger numbers) makes this necessary. In D&D, HG and VG are almost completely fused together.

You do have a good point there. Still, I don't imagine the strongest shinobi to be any more than lvs 20-21.

Oh people always show insane power for something and it disappoints when it appears as stats. Take Dragonlance as an example, an evil wizards summoned a wave that smashed a metropolis to pieces in one hit, yet he most likely is only a lv 23 or something and the spell he used wasen't even an epic level spell. And we have the Simbul killing hundreds of liches and armies of red wizards at once using silver fire and her stats obviously dosen't reflect this as silver fire is very weak.

I haven't dealt with Dragonlance, but I can tell you that when dealing with d20 based actions, a difference of 4 means a one-sided conflict. The underdog inherently cannot win in D&D.
Also, in D&D, a level 20 wizard can seriously just annihilate any number of Lvl12 anything (including fresh liches) without any trouble. Seriously, d20 fantasy is designed so that an ECL20 character is supposed to be able to take out an CR12 entity with so little effort he doesn't get any XP. Just adding more CR12s won't change anything, they don't have the numbers.

Oh really. There are ways if you are creative enough. In one of my campaigns we a group of lv 9 characters killed like a lv 16 vampire by shoving an inmovable rod into his throat with mage hand and using a bull rush to crack his skull into a million pieces. And as for the low levels, it depends on the race. Now there is a big difference between a lv 12 human and a lv 12 Rakhasha.

That sounds like an ambush situation, meaning highly favourable conditions. In any case, the rules don't support that exact use of an Immovable Rod and bull rushing, so a generous DM doesn't change anything. And was that an ECL16 vampire or a CR16 vampire?

Don't bring LA to the conversation. Those rules are still debatable as to their balance.

The first chapter was in dire need of a reformatting, which I did. Get it here: Chapter 1 Rewrite.

If you have any suggestions about what to do with it, not including rules on how to distribute the shinobi skills like sense chakra and such, you can tell me there. I'd be much obliged.

I have noticed a jutsu that is missing from the technique list. It is hinata's Shugohakke Rokujyuuyon Shou (Protection of the 8 Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms)

This jutsu is a combination of the Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin and the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. In this jutsu, Hinata emits a constant stream of chakra from her palms, creating extremely sharp chakra blades. With her natural flexibility, Hinata can reach any point around her, allowing her to hit any target within her field of vision. While using this jutsu, Hinata moves extremely fast (her movements become a blur), allowing her to hit hundreds of targets with extreme precision, much like the original Sixty-Four Palms jutsu. Additionally, Hinata can control the size of the chakra beams in her palms, allowing her to create larger, arc-shaped chakra beams that spread out across her entire attack range. This creates an "absolute defense" effect similar to that of the Heavenly Spin, though the cutting nature of the chakra prevents any outside force from restricting it. In this way, the technique can be used as both an offensive and defensive maneuver.

I took the technique information drectly from Wikipedia in case anyone is wondering.

I don't know if it has just been overlooked or left out intentionally, so I thought I would post abou it.

Well i have a couple of questions, I love your system you based it off of and I love Naruto. But there are some problems, my GM will not use your rules, all because of the techniques and classes. He says the techniques repeat themselfs and the classes are too specific and he wants it in a no dice system based off mavel universe which would be ok if he could modify it. well thats about all.

Ohh and i was wondering if i could be in the playtesting:D

Hello everyone,

This is a great effort to convert this show into a game. I stumbled upon this looking for an official game. I have not seen stats for the shows characters anywhere using this system. I know this may be a copyright issue to make the characters, like Naruto, etc. However, I am sure that someone has done this, I am curious as to what a starting character would look like compared to Naruto or Rock Lee.

I really am starting to get in to the Naruto Universe. It would be nice to find a book that breaks all the fantasy elements of this universe into one nice explanation. Such as, time place, technology.

Thanks!

LeafNinja is a great site that is well organised and updated constantly... but its also down right now.

Not to mention the information that leafninja has is only part of what sidestepper asked for.

If you wish to see Naruto and company fleshed out under the Naruto D20 rules, download the latest Main file and find Chapter 12. It has almost every main character leveled correctly and carefully.

Oh come now. Don't just get rid of all that hard work. It may not be up to date but it is accurate for at least one point in the series. I don't know how you feel about it Frankto but I am still impressed with the accuracy of every stat block in Ch12.

I browsed through it the other day, and am glad to see that the size was mostly due to the fact that it's kind of a stand alone game. But I'm also thankful that this is in electronic format cuz... well... can you imagine trying to carry a book like this to your sessions?

A standalone game? Nay, I'm afraid that it is not. As clearly stated in the introduction, it is meant to be used with the d20 Modern Roleplaying Game and though it can be adapted to other d20 Systems, the supplement was designed with the rules provided in the CRB in mind.

And yes, cool_dude1010, they do. I'm not sure I understand the point in asking?

Hello there. I just thought I'd give this thread another bump because an update is forthcoming, including a (mostly) check-less technique system, and possibly a new way to handle chakra, an overhaul of over a hundred taijutsu techniques, and a bunch of other stuff.

Check the forum for more information! Tell your friends :p

Also, if you happen not to like Naruto so much, there's a bunch of stuff you can use for your games to give it a more D&D or complete feel. Or something.

Cheers.

Check it out on the forums!
