| #1RagitsuDec 31, 2008 13:09:17 | I can't quite recall which book had the stats for ninja clothing: does anyone here know, and if so, what bonuses does it grant to the wearer? |
| #2narukagamiDec 31, 2008 14:35:42 | Wouldn't it just be clothing? I don't see what makes it more special than any other standard martial arts uniform. |

| #5ChirpDec 31, 2008 16:09:39 | Honestly I can't see ninja clothes granting any special defense bonuses, but it probably grants bonuses to hide when in dark or shadowed areas. Possibly a bonus to move silently, since its designed for stealthy movement. Also I would grant it lots of hidden pockets, allowing the ninja to carry and conceal various tools and weapons (shurikens, blow darts, poison vials, ect.) |
| #6tema69Dec 31, 2008 16:50:56 | Seriously, how can clothes increase your move silent? I'd count it as Military Fatigues, Black Camouflage. Perhaps Mastercrafted of some kind. |
| #7shinobi_guyverDec 31, 2008 16:53:45 | Honestly I can't see ninja clothes granting any special defense bonuses, but it probably grants bonuses to hide when in dark or shadowed areas. Possibly a bonus to move silently, since its designed for stealthy movement. This makes the most sense. Stealth/Hiding bonuses and secret pockets are a must for a ninja. As for the stats for the Gi itself, I tried a Google search (like I usually do for anything) and guess what the first thing was? Your facepalm picture/post, Narukagami. :\ |
| #8ChirpDec 31, 2008 17:07:35 | Seriously, how can clothes increase your move silent? Silk. Ever felt silk. rub it against itself or anything else and it makes almost no sound at all. Unlike denim or wool. |
| #9RagitsuDec 31, 2008 17:19:13 | Okay, so a +2 to Hide, maybe Move Silently in darkened areas. How about tabi? |
| #10narukagamiDec 31, 2008 17:37:09 | Black makes terrible camo. It actually makes you stand out MORE. Black shinobi shozoku is a myth, its stage costume from traditional theater that got carried over into the "shadow warrior" pop culture myths. It does nothing to help stealth, but may give a +2 bonus to intimidate laymen. :P |
| #11narukagamiDec 31, 2008 17:38:55 | How about tabi? Comfortable split toe socks, sometimes stitched onto rubber soles to protect the bottom of the foot. PDC 5. :P |
| #12RagitsuDec 31, 2008 17:41:50 | Black makes terrible camo. It actually makes you stand out MORE. I know dark blue is actually better, but, thematically, black is favored. I've also seen in another rules system where black camouflage grants a +2 Intimidate bonus in the surprise and first round of any combat. |
| #13backstabbistDec 31, 2008 17:51:17 | Black pajamas are just camoflage. Not woodland, not Desert, but Darkness Camo. If you wear black Pajamas on a polarbear hunt, no soup for you. If you wear black pajamas in the dunes of the sahara, you might as well have a flashing red firehemet. Hidecheck for the wrong camo dont get the camo bonus, and black pajamas are not AllPurpose camo. When the enviroment is blackness, then black pajamas get the camo bonus. Even Woodland is handy at night because it breaks up the perceived outline picture, but a solid black ninja shaped thing against a non-dark enviroment looks like a ninjadude. Clothes, Camo(dark), with lots of Pockets & Holders PDC"<15" Unless you GM is giving out -2's for CorduroyPants or Leather Jackets, give up on the move silent bonus for black pajamas |
| #14AnimeSniperDec 31, 2008 18:01:49 | Future Ninja with Thinspace tech, Nano-Armor, all that cool stuff from Ultraviolet... maybe even a chameleon cloak for concealing themselves... and now I have an idea for the Empires Assassination unit!:D |

| #16AnimeSniperDec 31, 2008 19:13:35 | Add in the ability to change his clothes style an color then you would have a jkick a$$ ninja... I serious ly believe the Ultraviolet tech would work well for a future ninja... throw in a mini-hack PDA and he could go anywhere! |
| #17j0ltJan 03, 2009 6:21:36 | Black makes terrible camo. It actually makes you stand out MORE. Thank you! |
| #18beefy_mongooseJan 04, 2009 0:28:38 | Future Ninja with Thinspace tech, Nano-Armor, all that cool stuff from Ultraviolet... maybe even a chameleon cloak for concealing themselves... and Know I have an idea for the Empires Assassination unit!:D what PL level would zero space tech be? and other stuff from ultra violet? |
| #19RagitsuJan 04, 2009 14:44:55 | Around 7, i'd wager. |
| #20AnimeSniperJan 04, 2009 19:58:24 | Okay with thinspace tech I am thinking the way of the Bag of Holding from D&D except adding an infinite storage version with limitations on the size of what can be stored by the device... Mk I: the Mk I is capable of storing most small to medium sized items Mk II:the Mk II is capable of storing most medium to large item Mk III:the Mk III is capable of storing most large items Mk IV:the Mk IV is capable of storing most Large to Huge items Mk V:the Mk V is capable of storing most Huge to Gargantuan items |
| #21nclancemanJan 05, 2009 1:18:28 | Ninja Clothing: This garment appears in many different forms in almost all eras of human history, with two consistent themes: it's all black and the wearer's identity is completely concealed, making the wearer alternately intimidating and disposable. 2 lbs., PDC 10 Special Quality: Inverse Ninja Law. When less than three wearers of this clothing are involved in a scene involving the heroes, this garment adds a +2 bonus to Hide, Move Silently, and Intimidate. When there are more than three wearers present, this garment takes a -2 penalty to Initiative and Defense. |
| #22RagitsuJan 05, 2009 11:26:22 | When there are more than three wearers present, this garment takes a -2 penalty to Initiative and Defense. So the clothing becomes slower and easier to hit? :P |
