| #1twilight_templarMar 21, 2010 0:24:15 | The universe, known by most as the "Multi-Terra". Planets that can be flown between by airships and other vessels. The air is thin across these wide expanses... Moons rotate around their respective worlds. Different galaxies, or just gatherings of worlds are all over the massive expanse of thin, dark air. The darkness is broken everyso often nearĀ worlds by their suns. The "Multi-Terra" is a massive universe of rugged technology and strange fuels; eldritch ruins of past civilizations and refinery dotted mining worlds. The smokestacks of factories spew purple gases from forging with hot plasmid stamps. Iron, fused with massive combustion with searing hot gases. The "Multi-Terra" is a place of modern technology gone horribly wrong that has become steampunk in style. Grizzly, iron plated machines with large flak cannons roll across battle fields. Alongside them normal men and women with armored soldiers near them; whos armor growls with servos and iron gears twisting with mechanical strength. Exo-suits Tanks Armored Gunships Eldritch Technomancers Magi Marksmen Rifles Machine Guns Plasmid Cannons Stealth Matrix Generators Mana-Crystal Flux Guns, or in other words, laser guns and lightning guns Assault Rifles Cybernetics Bio-engineering So much is possible. And so many nations vie for resources in a massive universe. Magic, gears, guns, humans, mutants formed from eldritch mana leaks, and "aliens" The "Multi-Terra" is a universe of conflict, intrigue, profit, heros and exploration. Opinions? Questions? Ideas? |
| #2TheRealOrionMar 21, 2010 3:22:59 | Dude, that sounds really fun, like a whole Pulp universe. Way cool. Years ago, I wrote a whole set of mechanics for how people would "sail" space, how planets were mostly flat disks made out of a remarkable ore called "gravantium" that projected gravity in both directions (pulls on the "top" and pushes off the "bottom"). Please post more content! I'd love to see it. |

HEre are some examples why. Like today, we drill for oil and put up hydroelectric dams. In the "Multi-Terra" the knob is twisted past -Normal- and to -The Extreame- For example Mana Crystals are mined and used as batteries and electrical sources. The hydroelectric dam is put on steroids when combined with large racks of crystals that in conjunction with the damn can produce twice if not more percent of power on a daily basis. Oil... It is not alone as a liquid of power. Silod is a blue-purple slime that is used as a fuel for heavy vehicles, another up side is that it doesn't light on fire. The downside is that is highly acidic to biological sources. Kizzal is a luminescent yellow-orange liquid only slightly "thicker" than water. It is used as a substitute emergancy generator system. It is mixed around man crystals and with mana dust then put through an extreamly hot chamber that absorbs the gases produced that then when put through a turbine produce electric power. Some more information about the universe. Mana-Fission and Mana-Fusion Like today's nuclear technology but easier to attain and less destructive, but the power plants require massive amounts of Kizzal, Water, Mana Crystals and labor. The downside of this is the fatal and warping, Mana-Radiation. It changes body composition, makes breeds of mutants and melts off skin to replace it with scales that dig through bone and leave you in a state of trauma that generally ends with organ failure after a mere two to three minutes. Mana radiation also can naturally occur from certain types of mana crystals. Red crystals tend to produce the most radiation while blue crystals produce little to none and are the most commonly found. Mana is used to power all sorts of objects but further more create power weapons and armor. Increase the effectiveness of forged armors. And example of this is Manaluminum, aluminum put through hot mana-plasid stamps that makes it shock absorbant and heat resistant. As one can see, the "Multi-Terra" is a universe of extreames and there is plenty of blood and coin to be made. |
| #4twilight_templarMar 21, 2010 16:11:29 | ((Sorry about the double post.)) Everything from fighter pilot aces, massive thousand ton imperial cruisers that scoot along with mana-combustion engines; even to ogres and dwarves working alongside one another in smog filled crystal mines. The "Multi-Terra" is a universe of profit, conflict; gangs, armies; private eyes and colonization of new worlds. Top hats, Brass and gold plated SAW assault rifles. Suits and composite combat armor, ((Layers of aluminum, plastic, rubber and small ceramic plates)) Massive behemoth tanks rolling along with quad barreled machine guns that unleash hailstorms of death. Exo armored infantry armed with flesh melting Plasmid rifles. Ruthless rogue traders and Crime Guilds. Drugs and wet-ware trade. Laser derringers and ABC's ((Automated Bodyguards/Combatants)) What will you find in the expanse of the universe? Will you throw yourself from the side of a frieght ship in the thin air between worlds and land on a Sky-Pirate vessel firing a plasmid laced harpoon gun? Will you take up arms in a nations army and fight in a war that one day you are with your squad on a temperate world. Then the next week you are on a desert world fighting not only the enemy but sand worms and other beasts? |
| #5TheRealOrionMar 21, 2010 16:48:41 | Dude, where are you getting all this? It sounds fun as hell. I strongly encourage you to write it up and post it somewhere (although not here, because everything you post here is the intellectual property of Wizards of the Coast and their parent company, Hasbro). |
| #6twilight_templarMar 21, 2010 17:04:24 | I have made this during my time between playing various video games and table tops. It is just what I am good at I guess. But yeah, I am going to write this all down at some point, probably soon. |
| #7the_mindlessMar 30, 2010 22:31:46 | i love this, but for some reason it puts a slight hint of warhammer 40k in there for some reason |
| #8dementedwombatApr 06, 2010 19:33:04 | Reminds me of Dragonstar. |
