It looks like this forum got heavily pruned, and searching provided no answers. I remember there was a general consensus that if you had a large wealth bonus, auto losing a point at PDC 15+ did not make sense. What was the general opinion to raise the "auto lose" bar as your wealth went up?

IT should be in the FAQ either under characters or under equipment

It didn't include what I was talking about. If someone has a wealth bonus of say, +40, being able to buy something worth $650,000 at the drop of a hat, a $500 purchase (DC 15) shouldn't affect them. I can't remember what the solution(s) was(were) to this.

I'd house rule that once you hit around Wealth level of 50, it becomes 2/5 you wealth.

Well, I'd say that it would be 15 or 1/2 your wealth bonus (whichever is higher, round down). At +31, you're in the "Very Rich" category.

So, at the aforementioned +40 wealth, the limit would be DC 20.

It's a bit of an increase, but it makes it so the very rich still can't gain wealth by selling very meager amounts of cash ($1200 minimum if using the DC 15 rule).

By the current rules, you could get really rich, like millions of dollars worth of buying power rich, by just selling a $1200 item. That's what really makes the wealth system broke.

I'm thinking about just not using the DC 15 rule. It doesn't make sense for a $500 purchase to set you back if you've got millions in assets.
