It gives a few classes multiple different "knowledge" skills as class skills -- do I just pick one or do I get them all? In this case, it's Pop culture, street wise, tactics, culture and current events. M. |
| #2rustam1Dec 29, 2009 9:46:28 | Happy New Year (almost)! You may pick the ones you want to put skill points into... [sblock Class Skills:] The Strong hero’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are: Climb (Str), Craft (structural) (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (current events, popular culture, streetwise, tactics) (Int), Profession (Wis), Read/Write Language (none), Repair (Int), Speak Language (none), and Swim (Str). Also, the starting occupation selected can provide additional class skills to choose from. [/sblock]Skill Points at 1st Level: (3 + Int modifier)x4. also remember, no more than 4 points per skill at 1st level. |

| #4RagitsuDec 30, 2009 12:33:35 | Before you put all your points into K:Tactics, Or pony up the DC 5 Wealth to ah, persuade the GM. |

For instance, looking at the Bullet points, there's a question on the Knowledge: Tactics skill. Here, it suggests that its ideal for the character to ask a specific question about how to act in combat. If anything, this seems like the leader's skill as he can make a knowledge tactics, then tell the rest of the team what to do. I like to think of it in terms of attacking. Back in 3.5, there was a situation where my party got to ambush a room full of goblins at a low level. Here, we took a good 5 minutes to prep the situation to ensure maximum damage with little to no retribution, it worked perfectly. Knowledge: Tactics is similar except, the GM tells you the best way to attack, rather than you having to figure it out for yourself, leading to the game moving quicker and also a simpler combat as you work as a coordinated, precise team. |

| #8xvgreymanvxDec 30, 2009 18:06:47 | Wouldn't Knowledge: Tactics come in really handy with the Leadership style feats? What are they... I think one's Minion and one's Sidekick or something? Somehow I think giving about 20-30 peons a +1-+3 bonus would rock, even if they are cannon fodder. |
