| #1hustonrocksAug 03, 2010 17:19:16 | In the current game i'm GMing the players are tracking a dude possessed by a Cthulhu-type creature across different dimensions to stop him from destroying the universe. Think X-Files meets Silders meets the Dark Tower. Each dimension is a different d20 setting. The problem I am having is thinking of cool set pieces for each world. The first big fight they had was in an underground cavern riddled with rivers of lava. I know the next big fight will take place in a post-apocaltypic arena (Thunderdome-style). But I'm having a hard time thinking of other set pieces. Here are the worlds and BBEG's I've thought of so far. Any ideas on cool places to have my players square off against the forces of evil? -Urban Arcana- where humans and magic creatures live in peace. I'm thinking they'll get a bounty posted on their head and a group of vampires will try and collect. And maybe a dragon. -Future- I really want them to cross a super-intelligent/mad scientist ape "Doctor Graw". -D&D- no ideas here -Call of Cthulhu- the last dimension they come to where they have to square off against the BBEG they've been chasing and possibly even a Cthulhu-like creature itself. I'm thinking a Tower they have to travel up. I'm also open to any advice in general (cool ideas, enemies) for the campaign as a whole. Thanks. |
