Well i was just introduced to the "Supernatural" T.V. series and i'm loving it, i've already posted some topics related to my up and coming shadow chasers game and now theres a good chance of there being alot more lol. Well i want to introduce something akin to the Winchester journal to my game. I intend to introduce my new game by using the "exit 23" adventure in the back of the dark matter book, but i'm going to make the hoffman institute agent a freelance shadow chaser, well regardless if he lives or dies the PCs have the chance to come across his journal, an overstuffed and worn leather bound book. I'm thinking it should provide anyone reading it a +5 bonus on skill checks related to anything supernatural but requires a full round to acctually find it because the book is kind of a hodge-podge of bits and peices of information (and bad handwritting). Eventually i intend to add on lil bits of flavor and fluff; like stuffed somewere in the back is a convienient incantation to banish demons with an accompaning letter that reads

"Here's that favor i owe you, use it wisely.

A. Crowley"

But is dated years after Crowley acctually died. or some other stuff like that. So do you guys think that the game mechanics are good? Also if anyone has some bits of interesting fluff that might be found in the book, that would be cool too.

Great idea! I've been working on a Supernatural-based Shadow Chasers campaign for a while as well (but all my notes are on my pocketPC/phone). I'll post my stuff once I get it transferred over to my regular PC.
