Dec 22, 2008 22:11:29 I am making an adventure set in d20 shadow chasers ( I posted the adventure in my new to shadowchasers topic). I decided that were-animals dr were bypassed by a silver/steel allow instead of pure silver because silver would juts be to easy to metagame. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea on a price for such ammunition or if there is a price for silver ammunition somewhere?

I imagine it would be quite a bit more because it would need to be custom made

IOt has a +6 PDC modifier.

Silver ammunition is useful for dealing with some times of Shadow creatures. Silvered ammunition deals lethal damage to regular targets and bypasses the damage reduction of any creature vulnerable to silver. It is never mass produced and must be made by hand, as reflected by its high cost.

Not wanting to hijack the thread but it reminded me of an article I found on making silver bullets. Very interesting stuff.

I would suggest that they could do enough damage to get over DR, or they could drown the were wolf. Or maybe were wolves weren't around before steel.

That's a a cool article though

But he has no problem with the eons before there was Silver smelting???

The historic cannon of Silver besting Weres is hardly a reasonably ended list. One has to think that in the way back, wood / stone / bronze / iron / steel / silver / gold weapons have all been tried against weres, with just the silver having good effect.... presto! the 'science' of Only Silver is born.

Back in the 1600s, these goobers didnt try Cesium or Argon or Seabogrium (constructed by man in 1974). Did they even try StainlessSteel or Correlle Glass weapons?? Clearly we cant accept their Clockwork Steam Science to have properly eliminate materials that hadnt even been discovered yet.

For all we know, Weres might consider HighFructose Corn Syrup a deadly toxin... all the Were science is from back before the stuff was created. And if it is, those Weres certainly wont tell US about stuff that kills them. Think about that: Weres are an endangered species today, but they were not back before CornSyrup- coincidence?
