Heres my thought so far. Its very bare bones:
Im going to use only 4 base classes. The Warrior, Expert, Spellcaster, and Inventor, (From UA generic classes, with the exception of the last, obviously).

Every class will choose their own class skills: 4, 8, 6, and 6 respectily. They will also have additional class skills based on their characters background/occupation/pofession, similar to d20 modern. Skill points per level, will be as usual, 4/8/6 + int, respectivly.

Aswell, characters choose their own good saves and bad saves. The warrior will have 1 "good save", the expert will have 2 "good saves" and the spell caster and inventor will both have 1 "good save".

Classes will otherwise mirror their tables in terms of feats, HD, and base attack bonus, http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/cl...ses.htm#expert .

Every Even level, each class may choose a talent, as identified in the d20 modern system resource document, however, any class may choose any talent as long as they meet the prerequisites. As well, most base class special abilities and class abilities can be bought, (though ONLY with the bonus feats offered by the class, not feats granted from advancement), provided that the PC meets the prerequisites of the ability. In this way, things such as "rage", "insightful strike", "sneak attack" etc will still be available. What exactly; Ill determine the prerequisites of each class abilities at a later time.

its my hope that this scheme will allow for great flexibility and variety within the classes. As you can see, its an amalgum of 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons and d20 Modern.

That looks workable though the inventor class sounds pretty nebulous. By the way your link to "Generic Classes" doesn't work quite right.

www.badaxegames.com did something similar with their "Grim Tales" book. Basically it took the six d20 modern classes (Strong, Fast, etc.) and expanded them to 20 levels. Then it added all the abilities common to D&D classes (rage, sneak attack, turn undead, etc.) and their advanced versions as talent trees. They also gave an alternate spellcasting system based on spell casting fatigue rather than a fixed number of available spells and rules for insanity & horror. It had two very good tables for creating monsters and weapons, and a table for "cyberware" parts. It was more of a tool kit for converting any d20 campaign to a D&D/d20 Modern hybrid than a stand alone rule book since it lacked any spells or pregenerated monsters, but included everything else in the SRD.
