| #1pakman555Mar 01, 2009 9:17:18 | Okay, Hi. I have just got back into D&D, and I've decided to run a small d20 modern campaign, with two or three players. But, I need some storyline twist or something that will make it interesting. Any help? |

Hit men dressed in fake police tactical gear burst into a home in Phoenix, rake it with gunfire and execute a man. Armed kidnappers snatch victims from cars and even a local shopping mall across the Phoenix valley for ransom, turning the sun-baked city into the "kidnap capital" of the United States. |

Carson City's mayor has a degenrate child he not gets in with the wrong crowd but they mess with magic. on a dare he uses an old tome and a summoning spell. Problem is this time (because of shadow) it works, and mr. preteen can't close it up. This "other" realm oozes out corrupting the city and the nearby Carson forests. abberations begin to come from the shadows, twisted reflections of the city's sins and vices. for example for drug crime I had a humanoid monster in a jacket with syringes in it's back and eyes, it throws them at PCs, he also had little "junkies" that would defend him yes I was that kid that sat in the back of the class room and wrote all the time why do you ask :D |
| #6pakman555Mar 07, 2009 10:47:28 | Okay, I need to clarify. Here is some basic info for my campaign. There are two characters, and the character I threw in to make it a little more interesting. Does anybody watch the show Heroes? Well, thats what it is based off of. The characters agreed to help a scientist, Professor Roy, with the creation of a formula that will give anybody powers. They told me that they wanted to be evil. So, I am going to get them to split off of the formula, and then hit casinos. The three characters are; 1 (PC) - An 18 year old boy, who grew up in the slums, with hatred all around him. A few weeks ago, he discovered that he could command people to do things (dc = 20, +5 per level.) He ended up going to Las Vegas to get some money. 2 (PC) - A 21 year old man, a person who grew up hacking to make his boring, boarding school life interesting. A few weeks ago, he discovered he could talk to machines, tell them what to do. (Eliminates need for Computer Use checks.) 3 (NPC) - And 18 year old boy, who has always cheated, gambled, and took chances. He taught himself how to make fake I.D.'s, and other forged Items. He also took it upon himself to learn how to lie, and act. One day, he discovered he could manipulate luck (+5 or -5 for any skill on anyone. +1 each level.) I got them to work for the scientist to help him with the formula, but I am going to get them out of it. I think they are all going to diverge, but all have the same goal, which I have not decided yet. I was thinking something in Las Vegas, that involves gambling, cheating, and getting caught by mobsters or something. I need to alaborate it to make a storyline. Any help NOW? |
